Although in the process of organizing and operating under a two-level local government model, Ly Van Lam ward is still proactive and thoughtful in organizing gratitude activities to celebrate the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025).

The ward has established 7 working delegations led by ward leaders to directly visit, present gifts and express deep gratitude to 54 policy families, people with revolutionary contributions, war invalids, sick soldiers, and victims of toxic chemicals in the area.

Mr. Dang Van Ven, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ly Van Lam Ward, kindly visited the health and life of policy beneficiaries and presented gifts of gratitude to them in the area.

Each gift worth 500,000 VND, although not large in material terms, shows the concern of the Party, State and the sincere affection of the locality for the great sacrifices and contributions of previous generations for the cause of fighting for independence, freedom for the Fatherland and happiness of the People.

Mr. Dang Van Nam, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ly Van Lam Ward, shared: “For many years, the work of “Repaying gratitude” has always been a key task of the locality. The ward has constantly promoted propaganda and education of revolutionary traditions, especially among union members, youth and students, the next generations. Because more than anyone, everyone understands that today's peace is the result of countless sacrifices of blood and bones from previous generations.”

Mr. Dang Van Nam, Vice Chairman of Ly Van Lam Ward People's Committee, visited and gave gifts to Ms. Le Thi Mi, a war invalid, revolutionary activist, and resistance activist who was captured and imprisoned by the enemy.

In order for these values to not only stop at awareness but spread into concrete actions, Ly Van Lam ward also focuses on taking care of the material and spiritual life of people with meritorious services with many practical activities. At the same time, the ward regularly reviews and grasps the living situation of people with meritorious services; currently, there are no policy households that are poor, near-poor or have to live in temporary or dilapidated houses.

Currently, Ly Van Lam ward is paying monthly preferential allowances to 567 policy families and people with revolutionary contributions in accordance with the State's regulations. The subjects include: Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; Heroes of the People's Armed Forces; Labor Heroes during the resistance war; war invalids, people enjoying policies like war invalids; sick soldiers; resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals; people with revolutionary contributions...

Payments are made fully, promptly, to the right subjects, and in accordance with the regime, ensuring the rights of those with meritorious services, demonstrating the concern of the Party, State and local authorities for those who have sacrificed and contributed to the cause of national liberation and protection of the Fatherland.

Ms. Cao Kim Anh, a war invalid with a 21% reduction in working capacity, residing in Hamlet 8, emotionally shared: “We always feel the deep concern from the government. That care is a great source of encouragement for us to continue living a life worthy of the sacrifices of ourselves and our loved ones.”

War invalid Huynh Van Luc, residing in Ong Muon hamlet, expressed: “My family is very grateful for the timely attention and support from the Party Committee, local authorities and the caring and sharing of the neighbors. That is a great motivation, giving me the strength to live well, live usefully and continue to promote the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers.”

The gratitude activities have gradually come to an end, but the echoes of affection still spread deeply in the community. According to Mr. Dang Van Nam, in the coming time, Ly Van Lam ward will continue to synchronously deploy solutions to improve the effectiveness of the work of "Repaying gratitude". "Every small action, at the right time, with the right person, with the right heart - will contribute to spreading the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source" in today's life".

Ly Van Lam Ward today is not only a heroic land, but also a bright spot in caring for people with meritorious services. Those responsible, humane and flexible actions are contributing to building a peaceful, affectionate countryside, firmly on the journey of innovation and development.
