On July 31, at the press conference to launch the film "Wind Across the Blue Sky", the cast and crew were present to share about the project.
The film marks Phuong Oanh's return after 4 years of absence from the screen since the film "Taste of Love". Notably, she plays a married couple with Doan Quoc Dam - her compatible co-star in "Quynh Doll".
The actress shared: "I stopped acting for a few years to focus on taking care of my family. When I had more time, my health improved, and the opportunity came, I decided to accept. The passion for acting has always burned within me, I just waited for the right opportunity and conditions to act again.
At first, my husband said that I had to act realistically, and that blandness was not acceptable. Another day, my husband asked if there were any hot scenes. Although he always encouraged me, he also noticed when I played the role of a married person.
Revealing about her role this time around, Phuong Oanh said she plays My Anh - a mature, married woman: "This is also a stroke of luck when the character is quite close to me in real life.
At first, I thought that such a familiar role would not be difficult for me, but when performing, the director always had to remind me that this was My Anh, not Phuong Oanh. There were situations where if it were me, I would react one way but the character would react another way, which made it difficult for me."
"Gio ngang gian troi xanh" continues the series "Mat sun lanh" to air on prime time on VTV3. The series tells the story of the journey to find happiness of women over 30 years old with 3 main characters: My Anh - a housewife, spending time taking care of her husband and children; Truc Lam (Quynh Kool) is married but refuses to grow up and Chau Ngan (Viet Hoa) - a girl over 30 years old who is still single and searching for her own value.
The script for "Wind Across the Blue Sky" was copyrighted from the famous Chinese movie "30 is not yet the end". The Vietnamese version promises to bring many different aspects of women in their 30s.
“Although this topic is not new, the film hopes to portray a different age of 30 - women who are not bound by old habits. They have the right to choose a new path that suits them, even though it may be different from society's expectations,” said director Le Do Ngoc Linh.
Quynh Kool shared that after playing many hurt and unfortunate roles in "Gara Hanh Phuc" or "Chung Ta Cua 8 Nam Sau", she wanted to portray a character with an innocent and naive personality but had to face storms. She is confident that the Vietnamese cast can create an excellent version that is no less than the original.
Viet Hoa also revealed that she will have a love affair with Dennis Dang on screen. The couple has good chemistry and coordination even though it is their first time working together.
