Educational institutions urgently overcome the consequences caused by storm No. 13.

(gialai.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of November 8, Vice Chairman of Lam Hai Giang Provincial People's Committee inspected the recovery of the consequences of storm No. 13 (Kalmaegi) at educational establishments in the province. Accompanying were representatives of the Department of Education and Training; Department of Construction; Provincial Police; Provincial Military Command; and representatives of local leaders.

Vice Chairman of Lam Hai Giang Provincial People's Committee (left cover) requested Quy Nhon ward and Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted to urgently repair damage to the school's classrooms and dormitories.

Vice Chairman of Lam Hai Giang Provincial People's Committee inspected the following schools: Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (Quy Nhon Ward); Nhon Hai Primary and Secondary School - Campus 3 (Quy Nhon Dong Ward); Phuoc Thang Secondary School (Tuy Phuoc Dong Commune); Nguyen Dieu High School (Tuy Phuoc Dong Commune).

Nhon Hai Primary and Secondary School - Campus 3 suffered heavy damage due to storm No. 13.

At educational establishments, Vice Chairman of Lam Hai Giang Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the initiative of local authorities and schools in overcoming the consequences caused by storm No. 13. At the same time, he requested localities to advance budget to repair and immediately overcome damages such as broken purlins, blown roofs, fallen trees, damaged electrical systems, etc.; organize school and classroom cleaning; supplement teaching equipment, learning materials, textbooks, and ensure necessary conditions for students to return to school soon.

The working group inspected the damage caused by storm No. 13 at Nguyen Dieu High School.

In the long term, educational institutions need to review and develop plans to ensure the solidity of the entire school's infrastructure and facilities, not only to meet teaching and learning needs but also to improve the ability to respond to natural disasters.

Depending on the actual situation, principals of educational institutions proactively decide on the arrangement and layout of classrooms and the time for students to return to school.

Phuoc Thang Secondary School urgently overcomes the consequences of storms and floods, ensuring conditions to bring students back to school as soon as possible.

In addition, Vice Chairman Lam Hai Giang requested the military and police forces to actively support educational establishments to quickly overcome the consequences caused by storm No. 13, ensuring safety so that students can soon stabilize their studies.
