After a period of not appearing on Google Play, the game Pokémon GO has just disappeared from the Vietnamese App Store without any announcement from the publisher Niantic. The game is no longer available on both platforms, causing domestic players to encounter many obstacles when downloading or updating the application.

Currently, App Store users in Vietnam can no longer find or update the Pokémon GO game.

Pokémon GO was a phenomenon in Vietnam when it first launched, attracting a large number of players in major cities. The game not only created a wave of outdoor Pokémon hunting but also helped form a highly cohesive community. Although its appeal has decreased over time, Pokémon GO still retains a loyal player base, especially during regular events or when rare Pokémon appear.
However, even though you can continue playing if you have already installed it, users in Vietnam cannot update to the new version. In addition, in-game payments have become difficult because all payment methods have been removed.

Currently, users can still participate in the Pokémon GO game, but this is only a temporary form because it cannot be updated in the future.

In the Vietnamese gaming community, many opinions expressed regret that a game that once created many memories and connections was facing obstacles right in the domestic market. Many people were concerned that this could be a sign that the game would be completely discontinued in Vietnam, if there were no changes from the publisher.
The disappearance of Pokémon GO from major app stores in Vietnam also shows a clear reality: international apps and games without representation or without meeting domestic legal regulations will be easily disrupted. While waiting for official information from Niantic, Vietnamese players can only find temporary solutions, with many limitations during use.
