On the evening of November 24, Mr. Huynh Viet Trung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Son Commune, Dak Lak Province, said that the locality had urgently reported on the risk of a major landslide at the hill of village 4, Yang Yeh.

The report stated that in recent days, heavy rains have been occurring in Hoa Son commune, causing large cracks in the land in many places at the Yang Reh Hill Village 4 on National Highway 27, causing landslides. By the afternoon of November 24, landslides had occurred, with the area sliding down about 1 meter from the original edge, and long cracks had appeared, posing a potential risk of major landslides in the near future.
The landslide area is located near National Highway 27 and at the foot of the hill where residents live, posing a direct risk to the safety of residents and traffic.

Faced with the above situation, the Commune People's Committee organized an inspection, recorded the scene and notified households living at the foot of the hill to temporarily evacuate to a safe place to avoid risks. At the same time, the Commune Militia and Police force were sent to monitor and guard the surrounding area.
The Commune People's Committee requested the Provincial People's Committee and relevant departments and branches to immediately send a team of geological and technical experts to survey and evaluate the slide surface, determine the cause of the landslide and propose reinforcement plans (temporary and long-term).

At the same time, support emergency supplies, equipment and funding to implement temporary remedies to ensure safety for people and vehicles participating in traffic.
