RT reported that speaking at the Future Investment Initiative forum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on October 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin's assistant, Kirill Dmitriev, said Moscow is confident that it is on the path towards resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
“We are definitely on the path to peace , and as peacemakers we need to make it happen,” Mr. Dmitriev said.

Asked if peace between Russia and Ukraine could be achieved within a year, Mr Dmitriev replied: "We believe it is possible."
Previously, Mr. Dmitriev repeatedly emphasized the importance of dialogue.
"Once you understand each other's positions, you will always find a solution," the Russian official stressed.
Mr Dmitriev has previously warned Washington against repeating what he described as former US President Joe Biden's failed approach, arguing that policies built on confrontation have proven ineffective.
"We are glad that the world is changing with more dialogue and mutual understanding," Mr. Dmitriev added.
Kiev and some Western countries have repeatedly called for an immediate ceasefire, while Moscow says this will only allow Ukraine to regroup and receive more weapons. Moscow insists it is still looking for a long-term solution to completely end the conflict with Kiev.
