Toyota has attracted attention at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 with a series of diverse debuts. One of the highlights of Toyota's booth at this exhibition is the all-new Corolla Concept.

The Toyota Corolla Concept is part of a new campaign called “To You, Toyota”, conceived by the company’s European Design Center in Nice, France (ED²). The sedan marks the start of the next chapter for the Corolla – one of the brand’s longest-running and best-selling models – with sharp design and a variety of engine options.

Just a quick glance and you can see that this all-new Toyota Corolla sedan is almost completely different from the 12th generation Toyota Corolla currently on the market.

Instead, the Toyota Corolla Concept features modern, clean lines and body proportions that resemble an electric car. It suggests a new design direction for the familiar Corolla line, similar to what Toyota did with the latest generation Prius.

The front of the Corolla Concept uses Toyota's familiar "hammerhead shark" design, but is refined with full-width LED lights that combine horizontal and vertical lighting lines. The traditional grille has disappeared, replaced by a narrow air intake in the front bumper and a small air vent under the windshield.

From the side, the car has a sleek four-door sedan look that continues the Corolla name. The front fenders appear to have an integrated charging port and new vertical details below the side mirrors. The car has a tapered wheelbase, embossed lines and traditional door handles.

The rear of the car is designed seamlessly with a "ducktail" spoiler extending from the roof and sloping down. The horizontal LED taillights with pixel lighting effects connect with sharp lines on the side. The "Corolla" lettering is located in the middle of the flat trunk lid while the rear bumper is angular.

The interior of the Toyota Corolla Concept has also been completely redesigned with a minimalist dashboard, accompanied by a digital clock and a moderate-sized secondary screen for the front passenger. The center console has a floating design with a gear lever inspired by the shape of the car.

In addition, there are futuristic seats and interior lighting systems. Basic controls for the entertainment system and air conditioning are located on the steering wheel as well as on both sides of the instrument cluster.

Toyota has not yet revealed the specifications of the Corolla Concept, only confirming that it will continue to pursue a philosophy of diverse powertrains, including fully electric and hybrid versions, to suit the needs of each market. The company emphasizes that space and convenience will not be affected regardless of the powertrain used.

Although the Corolla Concept's design clearly shows its intention for mass production, Toyota has not yet announced an official launch date for the new generation. However, since the current generation Toyota Corolla has been launched since 2018, it is likely that the successor will appear in 2026.
