Vietnamese military successfully rescues a young man trapped in rubble in Myanmar

CAND Newspaper initially reported on the efforts of the Vietnam People's Army rescue force to rescue a survivor of the earthquake trapped inside the Aye Chan Thar Hotel in Naypyidaw, Myanmar.

During the search, at 2:00 p.m. on April 2, the rescue force of the Vietnam People's Army in coordination with the rescue forces of Myanmar and Türkiye successfully rescued the young man trapped inside the hotel.

The rescued man was Htet Maung Maung, 26 years old, a chef at the Aye Chan Thar Hotel. His health was quite good because he had been given IV fluids by rescuers.

Rescue workers from Vietnam, Myanmar and Türkiye carry victims to ambulances.

Mr. U Myint Lin, the victim's father, said: "On the day the earthquake happened, Htet Maung Maung went to work at the Aye Chan Thar Hotel in the capital Naypyidaw... The family has not received any news about their son for nearly a week, and it was only this morning that they were informed that he is still alive."

After being rescued, Htet Maung Maung was put in an ambulance and taken to the hospital.
