A working delegation of the Military Region 5 Command led by Major General Doan Van Nhat, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of the Military Region, visited, presented gifts and encouraged the people of Ta Lui village, Ka Lum district, Sekong province (Laos) - a locality that has just suffered heavy damage due to fire.
At the meeting, the delegation presented 40 gifts with a total value of 210 million VND, to share difficulties and support people to soon stabilize their lives.
Speaking to encourage the people of Ta Lui village, Major General Doan Van Nhat, Deputy Chief of Political Department of Military Region 5, expressed his deep sympathy for the heavy losses caused by the fire, and affirmed the solidarity and friendship between the people of Vietnam and Laos in general and the armed forces of Military Region 5 with the people of the border area in particular. The Major General hoped that the Party Committee, government and people of Ta Lui village would continue to make efforts to overcome difficulties, quickly overcome the consequences, and gradually stabilize their lives.
Giving gifts and encouragement to households affected by fire
Previously, on April 2, a serious fire broke out in Ta Lui village, burning down all 35 houses with 272 people, greatly affecting the lives of the people. This is a remote village of Ka Lum district, Sekong province - bordering Quang Tri province (Vietnam), with many difficult socio -economic conditions.
Immediately after the incident, the Military Region 5 Command promptly established a working group to visit and support the people. At the same time, it directed the Southern Lao Friendship Company Limited to mobilize human and material resources to coordinate with local authorities to carry out activities to support the reconstruction of the village.
In the atmosphere of friendship, the people of Ta Lui village expressed their deep gratitude for the timely care and sharing of the Military Region 5 Command. The gifts not only have material significance but are also a great source of spiritual encouragement, contributing to strengthening the solidarity between the two brotherly peoples of Vietnam and Laos.
