Automatic Emission Monitoring : Towards Green Production
Recently, the Department of Agriculture and Environment has strengthened the monitoring and control of air quality in industrial parks, export processing zones, and economic zones, paying special attention to production facilities that generate large sources of dust and emissions.

The unit also requires production, business and service establishments subject to automatic and continuous emission monitoring as prescribed in Article 112 of the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 to speed up investment progress, install automatic and continuous emission monitoring systems on time as prescribed, have monitoring cameras, and the monitoring system must meet technical regulations on environmental monitoring.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Xuan - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment said that according to the unit's statistics, there are 27 establishments in the province that are required to install automatic and continuous emission monitoring systems and transmit data directly to the Department to serve the work of air environment management according to the provisions of Decree No. 08/2022/ND-CP and Circular No. 02/2022/TT-BTNMT. Up to now, 23/27 establishments have completed the installation, 36/40 monitoring stations are operating stably and transmitting data to the Department; the remaining establishments are being monitored and urged to implement.
These facilities mainly operate in industrial production sectors with high emission risks such as: processing of cassava starch, rubber latex, cement production, bricks, chemicals, solid and hazardous waste treatment...
Mr. Le Dinh Tuan, a technical staff of Hue Phuong VN Green Environment Company Limited (a waste treatment enterprise in Go Dau district) said that the operating principle of the automatic monitoring system is that the system collects smoke from the factory's furnace, then the smoke is sent to the machine to analyze air parameters.
The analysis data is transmitted directly to the Department of Agriculture and Environment. The company's environmental management department staff can control whether the air parameters meet standards or not for timely handling.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Xuan - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment said that compliance with regulations and instructions of the management agency helps businesses correctly identify their obligations, proactively carry out environmental procedures, invest in automatic emission treatment and monitoring systems, and avoid being fined or suspended due to violations.
It is important for businesses to enhance their reputation and competitiveness; businesses that comply with environmental protection regulations are often highly appreciated in the process of investment approval, bidding, credit granting, and access to domestic and international markets, especially in markets with strict environmental standards.
The installation of automatic air monitoring systems contributes to promoting technological transformation and sustainable development. Under the supervision and support of management agencies, many enterprises have invested in clean technology, upgraded production processes, and moved towards a green growth model, circular economy, and sustainable development.
