On the afternoon of June 1, in Dong Hoi city, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park (Quang Binh) held a conference to announce the "Ecotourism, resort and entertainment project for the period 2021-2030". Accordingly, 9 new tourist destinations and 11 new tourist routes were introduced, calling for investment and exploitation to bring interesting and attractive experiences to visitors when coming to Phong Nha-Ke Bang World Heritage.

According to the representative of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, after 23 years of establishment, especially after more than 20 years of being recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage, this National Park has become an attractive tourist destination in the country as well as in the world, contributing to enhancing the image and position of Quang Binh tourism in the international tourism market. However, tourism products are still not commensurate with the potential, the quality of some tourism products is not high, and is still heavily seasonal.

Therefore, in order to continue to effectively promote the values ​​of the heritage, in early 2024, the People's Committee of Quang Binh province issued a decision approving the "Project for eco-tourism, recreation and entertainment in Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park, period 2021-2030" within an area of ​​124,832 hectares. The total cost of implementing the project is about 1,253 billion VND from the budget, calling for investment and other legal capital sources. In addition to the exploited tourist routes and spots, the project identifies 20 areas (including 9 spots and 11 tourist routes) with potential that need to be prioritized for investment to develop tourism types and products. Of which, 9 tourist attractions include: the tourism management and operation center area, the zoo eco-tourism experience site, the high-end resort at km 7 of Quyet Thang road 20, the tour to visit the semi-wild breeding area of ​​Doi Mountain, the high-end resort in U Bo mountain area, Chay waterfall eco-tourism, Suoi 40 eco-tourism, Ba Tay hill resort, Hung Tram Na high-end resort.

Along with that, there are 11 tourist routes to explore the natural mountains, forests, caves, rivers and streams within Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park and historical relics on the western branch of Ho Chi Minh Road through Bo Trach district. Director of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park Pham Hong Thai emphasized that with this large-scale project, the Park Management Board hopes that investors and businesses will learn about the potential and strengths to invest in tourist spots and routes into eco-tourism services so that visitors can best experience the unique values ​​of the world heritage. Along with the announcement of the decision to approve the project, the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park Management Board organized meetings and dialogues with investors and businesses on investment and cooperation in exploiting tourist spots; signed a memorandum of understanding on tourism investment cooperation within the scope of this National Park.
Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park strives to have an average increase of at least 12.5% ​​in the number of tourists from 2024 to 2025. By 2025, the number of tourists will reach 1.5 million, with total revenue of about 500 billion VND. By 2030, the number of tourists will reach about 3 million, with total revenue of 1,500 billion VND.
