The Government requested that Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Hospital, Branch 2 in Ninh Binh (formerly Ha Nam ) be put into use before November 30 to serve the work of caring for and protecting people's health, without wasting money. At the same time, it will contribute to reducing hospital overload and improving the quality of medical examination and treatment for people.
Started in 2014, after more than a decade of construction, the two hospitals are entering the final stage of opening and operating as directed by Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long.
Previously, both projects were in a "shelved" state, with no further completion of the unfinished positions for many years. After strong direction from the Government, construction of the two projects resumed in early 2025.

Project with total investment of nearly 5,000 billion VND per hospital
The project to build the second facility of Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Hospital in Phu Ly City (Ha Nam Province) has a total investment of nearly 5,000 billion VND for each hospital, and will start construction at the end of 2014.
Bach Mai Hospital's second facility project has a scale of 1,000 inpatient beds and serves about 5,000 medical examinations per day, with a total construction floor area of over 123,000m2 , built with 1 basement and 6 floors.
Facility 2 of Viet Duc Hospital has a scale of 1,000 inpatient beds and serves about 3,500 medical examinations per day, with a total construction floor area of over 125,000m2 , built with 1 basement and 9 floors.
