Mr. Nguyen Viet Xuan - Deputy Head of the Tax Department of Region XII said that as of May 5, the land use fee managed by the tax sector was nearly 216/3,300 billion VND (reaching 6.52% of the annual estimate). Of which, the organization's revenue was more than 52.2/2,927.2 billion VND (reaching only 1.8% of the annual estimate).

The main reason for the low estimate is that many projects still owe land use fees and land rent. Some projects have been allocated land and leased land but have not yet had a decision approving land prices, and have been slow to approve the final settlement of compensation and site clearance to record revenue into the state budget...

Currently, in the whole Quang Nam area, there are 35 residential and urban area projects that still owe land use fees and one-time land rent with a total amount of 2,080.6 billion VND. Of which, land use fees are 2,011.8 billion VND, one-time land rent is 68.8 billion VND; overdue payment debt is more than 224.2 billion VND. Notably, among the more than 224.2 billion VND in late payment, many debts have been overdue for quite a long time, lasting for many years.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Nam Hung said that businesses are under great financial pressure when they have to pay for compensation, site clearance and construction of technical infrastructure at the same time.

In addition, credit institutions are increasingly tightening lending conditions, especially in the real estate sector due to concerns about high risks, reducing businesses' access to loans, directly affecting their ability to fulfill financial obligations to the state budget. Furthermore, the real estate market is currently facing many difficulties, ineffective land exploitation, causing great difficulties for businesses in raising capital.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Nam Hung shared the difficulties of enterprises and said that the Provincial People's Committee, departments and branches are ready to create conditions for enterprises to register for dialogue and work with provincial leaders to remove difficulties, operate more effectively, and properly fulfill obligations to the state budget.

Mr. Tran Nam Hung requested that enterprises must have a written commitment to pay all outstanding land use fees and land rent to the state budget, send it to the tax authority, and send it to the Provincial People's Committee Office for monitoring within 2 days from the end of this working session.

Enterprises must pay outstanding land use fees and land rent to the budget within 30 days from the date of commitment. After this deadline, the tax authority will apply strong handling measures according to the provisions of law.
