Easily accessible international destinations

Quang Ninh is the gateway to the world integration of the Northern Key Economic Zone, a node in the Development Cooperation Area "Two Corridors, One Economic Belt Vietnam - China" and the Inter-regional Cooperation of the Gulf of Tonkin expanding some Southeast Asian countries with China. Quang Ninh is identified as the driving force, the growth pole of the Northern region. In recent times, with innovative thinking, creativity, and the desire for sustainable development, the province has promoted the mobilization of social resources to develop the infrastructure system.

Quang Ninh currently has a complete inter-regional and international transportation system including roads, sea routes and air routes. In addition to owning the longest and most modern highway in the country, Quang Ninh also has 2 international passenger ports and 1 modern international airport. The synchronous transportation system contributes to promoting Quang Ninh's geopolitical advantages in the region, increasing regional connectivity and opening the door to welcome tourists from all over the world.

Traveling to Quang Ninh has never been easier for tourists. Now international travel agencies can take visitors to Quang Ninh via charter flights landing at Van Don Airport. Cruise lines can easily take visitors to Ha Long Bay and from Ha Long to all localities in the province thanks to the openness, convenience and speed of professional services at Ha Long International Passenger Port.

More importantly, with synchronous traffic connections, without having to join a tour, individual visitors can easily explore Quang Ninh on their own. Mr. Aizat Raman, a Bruneian tourist who visited Ha Long with his wife last April, shared with us that he searched for information about the destination and service providers in Ha Long on the Internet. He chose a 6-hour day tour to visit Ha Long Bay on the 5-star Ambassador cruise ship. Instead of having to travel 4 hours from Hanoi to Ha Long like before, now she is in Ha Long in less than 2 hours. Improve tourism services

Quang Ninh has built a series of world-class tourism products such as Tuan Chau International Tourist Area, Golf Course; Legacy Yen Tu Resort - MGallery; Yoko Onsen Quang Hanh Hot Mineral Resort; FLC Ha Long Golf Course and Resort Complex... to meet the increasing demands of tourists, especially international visitors.

In 2023, Quang Ninh will put 38 new tourism products into operation and exploitation, aiming to create richness and diversity to attract tourists. Of which, Ha Long City leads with 8 new tourism products. Some products have been tested in previous years such as "Night Cruise Street", sports tourism, entertainment and sailing on Ha Long Bay, listening to music on Ha Long Bay.

Regarding cruise products alone, Ha Long has recently launched many new models, combining cruises and cruise ships; cruises and restaurants; cruises with unique cultural and artistic performances to enhance the experience for tourists. For example, in April 2023, Tuan Chau 5-star Cruise Joint Stock Company launched the 5-star super yacht Paradise Delight with a capacity of 350 guests. This is the first international standard restaurant cruise in Ha Long, combining fine dining and grandly invested art shows, bringing tourists unforgettable experiences.

Diverse cuisine is a plus point of Quang Ninh tourism.

The new type of restaurant cruise is expected to contribute to diversifying tourism products in Ha Long Bay and attracting international tourists to Quang Ninh, especially Asian tourists who prefer entertainment and culinary experiences, including high-profile markets such as China, Korea, Thailand, India, etc.

In addition to renewing existing products and focusing on improving the quality and experience of tourists, building an integrated and cross-cultural tourism culture is also a solution that businesses are focusing on to bring satisfaction to tourists and create the image of a professional and classy international destination.

In fact, for high-end products, the majority of customers using the service are international customers. They come from different religions and cultures, with different needs, tastes, and aesthetics. This requires businesses and tourism professionals to grasp the psychology of customers and understand the diversity and differences in culture, thereby focusing on improving service quality and customer care so that all tourists feel satisfied.

Ms. Phan Thi Hong, Deputy Director of Muong Thanh Luxury Quang Ninh Hotel, shared that hotel staff must communicate well in at least one foreign language (usually English), and understand the habits of each customer market. For example, Chinese guests who avoid the number 4 should avoid assigning rooms with the number 4 such as floors 14 or 24, Muslim guests do not eat pork, Hindu guests do not eat beef. Not only the receptionist but also the restaurant department, every department in the hotel must understand. Every detail needs to be carefully considered and calculated so that guests always feel comfortable like at home.

Believing that building a highly international tourism environment with diverse products that meet the needs of all types of customers is indispensable at an international destination like Ha Long, Mr.   Waseem Admed, Executive Manager of Ambassador Cruises, said: The cruise pays special attention to cuisine, we have Indian, European, Asian, vegetarian and Muslim dishes on the menu. No matter what culture or religion guests come from, they will feel cared for and well served.

To make the most of the untapped international tourist markets, in addition to understanding the culture and living habits of each type of tourist, Quang Ninh tourism also needs to focus on niche markets. Mr. Lee Kyung Taek, Deputy Head of the Korea Tourism Organization in Vietnam, said: Korean tourists to Quang Ninh are mainly families, middle-aged and elderly tourists. To attract Korean tourists aged 20-30, Quang Ninh needs to have more modern tourism products associated with cultural, sports and artistic activities.

Coming to Quang Ninh is now easy! But for each international visitor to decide whether to come to Quang Ninh or not? The answer still lies in the tourism product. Only when the tourism product is unique and sustainable will visitors ignore other neighboring international destinations to choose Quang Ninh, stay in Quang Ninh longer, return more often and be willing to spend more.
