Unanimously build an advanced new rural district

Traffic infrastructure in Phu Binh district is invested synchronously, contributing significantly to promoting local socio -economic development.

Right from the beginning of the task of building an advanced new rural district, the Party Committee and government of Phu Binh district identified the people as the center and the decisive factor for the success of the program.

From that orientation, the district has synchronously deployed solutions, in which propaganda work is given special attention, to create unity and consensus in awareness and action among the people.

From the beginning of 2023 up to now, the district has coordinated to produce 1,500 news, articles, and reports on media; organized 1,100 thematic propaganda sessions and integrated them into conferences and party cell activities; hung more than 200 billboards, 1,200 banners and slogans; organized 120 mobile propaganda sessions on building advanced new-style rural districts...

Through that, the awareness of cadres, party members and people about this field is increasingly raised, people actively participate in movements and activities deployed by authorities at all levels.

Mr. Nguyen Van Dinh, Secretary of the Party Cell of Luong Trinh Hamlet, Luong Phu Commune, said: At first, people were hesitant and did not actively participate in the new rural construction program. However, thanks to regular propaganda work, people gradually changed their awareness and actively participated. The hamlet mobilized people to donate thousands of square meters of land and contributed nearly 800 million VND to build roads. Households also strongly responded to the movement to maintain environmental hygiene.

Environmental protection activities attracted the participation of many youth union members of Phu Binh district.

Along with propaganda work, the District People's Committee focuses on investing in infrastructure to serve production development and people's lives. From 2022 to now, Phu Binh has mobilized and integrated resources with a total budget of over 3,000 billion VND to build new rural areas, prioritizing investment in traffic works, schools, medical stations, cultural houses in residential areas...

Along with State resources, authorities at all levels also mobilized people to contribute and mobilized socialized resources, contributing 265 billion VND, donating more than 205,000 square meters of land and contributing nearly 150,000 working days to participate in building the new rural areas.

Thanks to that, up to now, 98.35% of the length of roads has been concreted and asphalted (an increase of 5.67% compared to 2022); 100% of communes have standard cultural and sports centers, 261/261 hamlets have cultural houses, community activity points, and sports areas that meet standards; 19/19 communes have schools with standard facilities; 100% of communes and towns have post offices and broadband internet connection lines to hamlets...

Creating jobs and increasing people's income are also key tasks that Phu Binh focuses on implementing. Accordingly, the District People's Committee directed the development of a project to restructure the agricultural sector associated with developing advantageous products for the period 2021-2025.

Implementing the Project, the district has deployed 9 production development projects with a total budget of over 14 billion VND. Many cooperatives, production facilities, and households have been supported with machinery, equipment, product packaging, biological products, etc.

In particular, the district also focuses on developing cooperatives and building OCOP products to increase the value of local agricultural products and promote production and consumption linkages along the value chain. Up to now, the district has 64 cooperatives (an increase of 11 cooperatives compared to 2022); 40 key products of the commune have traceable origins; 35 products meet OCOP standards of 3 stars or higher.

In addition to agricultural development, the District People's Committee also promotes planning and development of industrial zones and clusters. At the same time, it directs the implementation of vocational training and job counseling for people. As a result, the rate of trained workers has reached 77.01%, an increase of 0.32% compared to 2022. The labor structure has shifted towards increasing the proportion of workers in the industrial, trade and service sectors.

In residential areas, cleaning village roads and alleys is carried out weekly and monthly.

By drastically implementing the above solutions, by the end of 2024, Phu Binh had completed 9/9 criteria for an advanced NTM district. The results achieved from NTM construction have helped the district's socio-economy to develop more and more.

In 2024, the total production value will reach 30,700 billion VND (ranked 3rd out of 9 districts and cities). The structure of production value will shift in a positive direction. Specifically, the proportion of production value of the Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery sector will be 17.87% (down 0.52% compared to 2022); the proportion of production value of the Industry - Construction sector will reach 64.85%, up 0.59% compared to 2022.

People's quality of life has been improved. Currently, the average income per capita in rural areas of Phu Binh reaches 63.5 million VND, an increase of 9.05 million VND compared to 2022; the poverty rate is 2.19%, a decrease of 3.5% compared to 2022.

The infrastructure is increasingly spacious, the landscape is green - clean - beautiful, the material and spiritual life of the people is constantly improved... All have contributed to painting a prosperous picture of the new rural area.

Today, Phu Binh has risen to become a civilized, dynamic and vibrant new rural district. This journey is not only the result of correct policies, but also a clear demonstration of the strength of solidarity and consensus of the entire political system and people.
