In October 2024, the Government issued Decision No. 1115/QD-TTg dated October 7, 2024 to convert Duy Tan University into Duy Tan University. This is the first private higher education institution in Vietnam to convert its model into a "University".
Following Duy Tan University is Phenikaa University - the second private higher education institution to be recognized.
