Because the crack on National Highway 14 is getting bigger and bigger, even collapsing and breaking a lane in half, the Gia Nghia City government ( Dak Nong ) has banned vehicles from passing through here.

At noon on August 5, information from Mr. Do Tan Suong, Chairman of Gia Nghia City People's Committee said that the crack on National Highway 14, the section passing through Gia Nghia City, is much wider and deeper than when it was first discovered. There is even a 2-3m landslide that separates the lane for motorbikes and non-motorized vehicles.

"Currently, traffic on this lane is completely cut off. Local authorities and relevant agencies are closely monitoring the situation to determine further action," Mr. Suong added.

Highway 14 was broken in half.

As reported, on August 2, Gia Nghia City residents and authorities suddenly discovered a long crack on National Highway 14.

Immediately after that, dozens of households were evacuated to a safe area. BOT investor Duc Long Gia Lai had people use concrete to fill it. However, the crack has now broken Highway 14.

The crack was nearly 1 meter wide and about 2 meters deep in some places.

There are places that have sunk about 3m.

Traffic was completely cut off.
