Commercial and service planning: Driving force for development

In the first two months of 2024, the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in the province is estimated at more than 12.5 trillion VND, up 5.72% over the same period. Of which, retail sales of goods are estimated at more than 10.2 trillion VND, up 5.34%; revenue from accommodation, food and beverage, and tourism services is estimated at more than 1 trillion VND, up 5.49%; revenue from other service industries is estimated at nearly 1.2 trillion VND, up 9.39% over the same period.

To achieve the above positive results, the province always focuses on the planning of trade and services to meet the consumption needs of the people, creating a driving force for socio-economic development. In particular, focusing resources on developing fast, effective and sustainable service industries, ensuring basic services with increasingly high quality, serving socio-economic development and considering this an important economic sector in the provincial economy.

Developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector of the province in the direction of "Quality services - Different products - Sustainable efficiency". Developing tourism based on traditional cultural values, while creating a unique style with new and unique types, making Vinh Phuc a leading destination for branded resort tourism, with domestic and international competitiveness; effectively investing in exploiting sports and entertainment services...

The development of trade and services is closely linked to production, including planning the supply points of goods, wholesale and retail of the whole region in Tho Tang town, Te Lo commune and Trung Nguyen. The Provincial People's Committee has directed and encouraged organizations and enterprises to promote trade, expand domestic and foreign markets, especially the markets in the Red River Delta and the key economic region of the North.

Facilitate and encourage the development of a modern distribution system; develop a network of trade centers, supermarkets and exhibition fairs in the province; develop modern transportation, warehousing and logistics services, becoming one of the key service industries, meeting the needs of production and consumption of goods in and outside the province.

Information and communication services are invested in on the basis of effectively promoting potential, advantages, creativity, and effective application of scientific and technological achievements. Financial - banking, insurance products and services, services brought about by the urban economy are always innovated in processes and procedures and enhanced in the application of information technology...

Good news for the Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups in the province is that recently, the Prime Minister approved the Vinh Phuc Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050. In which, it clearly states the zoning of socio-economic activities.

The central urban and industrial area includes Vinh Yen city, Vinh Tuong, Yen Lac and Tam Duong districts. Part of Phuc Yen city and Binh Xuyen district is an area with potential for industrial, urban, service and tourism development.

The western region, including Song Lo and Lap Thach districts, has traffic conditions connecting to Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway, which is favorable for attracting industrial projects and developing tourism.

The Northern region includes Tam Dao district; Trung My commune, Binh Xuyen district and Ngoc Thanh commune, Phuc Yen city is oriented to develop into a high-class tourist and resort urban area of the Red River Delta and the whole country.

The North-South development dynamic axis is the axis connecting Tam Dao - Vinh Yen - Yen Lac with the capital Hanoi, connecting the landscape, showing the diversity of terrain and landscape of the province.

The development of tourism services focuses on key tourism areas combined with the construction of a modern and synchronous infrastructure system; forming resort areas with international standard service quality; being a destination for domestic and foreign tourists.

Along with that, the province has been investing and upgrading Tam Dao National Tourist Area; gradually completing to meet the criteria of national tourist areas for Dai Lai - Ngoc Thanh Tourist Area and surrounding areas; Tay Thien - Tam Dao II Tourist Area and surrounding areas.

Investing in developing tourist areas of Lang Ha lake, Bac Ngoc Thanh and Dong Cau lake, Xa Huong lake, Thanh Lanh lake, Van Truc lake, Bo Lac lake, Ban Long waterfall...

Economic corridors are also specifically planned such as the multi-functional Southeast dynamic economic corridor, the driving force for the province's development, linking the Vinh Tuong - Yen Lac - Binh Xuyen - Phuc Yen areas, while strengthening economic linkages with Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, etc.

The Northern tourism - resort urban development corridor develops along the foot of Tam Dao mountain, extending through Van Truc lake area towards Lo river, connecting eco-tourism, cultural tourism, tourism combined with conferences, seminars, exhibitions, events (MICE tourism) ... creating great attraction associated with resort real estate development.

The Western riverside development corridor connects Yen Lac - Vinh Tuong - Lap Thach - Song Lo districts, forming large-scale concentrated agricultural production areas, applying high technology, organic agriculture associated with processing industry, small-scale industry, logistics centers, and agricultural wholesale markets.

The synchronous planning of trade and services creates favorable conditions for all people to have the opportunity to increase their income and enjoy the fruits of that development while still promoting the value of cultural identity and developing Vinh Phuc people "Pioneering, creative, aspirational, innovative" - This will be the foundation to create momentum for the province's development.
