Continuing to respond to the humanitarian month of 2023, on the morning of June 3, the Red Cross Society of Quynh Phu district organized the inauguration and handover of a gratitude house to the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhon, a poor household in Dong Cu village, Dong Hai commune (Quynh Phu).
Representatives of units, organizations and individuals congratulated Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhon's family on their new, spacious house.
Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nhon’s family is in a particularly difficult situation. This year, she is 82 years old and lives with her mentally ill son in a cramped house of about 15 square meters that is degraded, dilapidated, has no sanitary facilities, and lacks living conditions. Realizing the difficult situation of Mrs. Nhon’s family, through a field survey, the Red Cross Society of Dong Hai commune proposed that the Red Cross Society of Quynh Phu district and the Provincial Red Cross Society mobilize funds to build a new house for her.
Leaders of the Provincial Red Cross Society presented gifts to the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhon.
The house was started in March 2023 and has now been completed with a total area of 44m²; the flat-roofed house has a kitchen, toilets, etc. The total construction cost is 245 million VND, of which all levels, sectors, organizations, units and individuals supported 143 million VND and labor days, the remaining amount was mobilized by the family.
