Buddha's relics coming to Vietnam is the theme of the first issue of Vesak 2025 Newsletter launched on May 4.

The newsletter has 16 pages of content with many articles written by a team of professional reporters.

Vesak 2025 Newsletter is edited by Venerable Thich Gia Quang - Vice President of the Executive Council, Head of the Central Information and Communications Department of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of the Vesak 2025 Information and Communications Subcommittee.

Venerable Thich Nhat Tu assumes the role of permanent deputy editor-in-chief. Venerable Thich Giac Hoang serves as deputy editor-in-chief.

Most Venerable Thich Nhat Tu said that the Vesak Newsletter was launched as a gift for official delegates attending the 2025 United Nations Vesak Festival .

The news was made by Most Venerable Thich Thien Nhon - Deputy Supreme Patriarch of the Council of Evidence, Chairman of the Executive Council and Most Venerable Thich Duc Thien - Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Executive Council.

Vesak 2025 Newsletter has two versions, Vietnamese and English, published continuously from May 4 to 9, each issue focusing on one topic.

The newsletter is 20.5 x 29cm in size, 1,500 copies printed in English and 5,000 copies in Vietnamese.

The "field editorial office" producing the Vesak 2025 Newsletter is located at Giac Ngo Pagoda, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City.

Monks, nuns, lay people, journalists Minh Dieu, Chu Minh Khoi, Van Minh, Thanh Hang, Luu Dinh Long... made this news.

The 2025 Vesak Festival is co-organized by the International Organizing Committee for the United Nations Day of Vesak (ICDV) and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.

This is the fourth time Vietnam has hosted the event, previously in Hanoi (2008), Ninh Binh (2014) and Ha Nam (2019).

It is expected that 85 countries and territories will participate in Vesak 2025 in Vietnam. This is the 20th time the festival has been held.

Vesak 2025 takes place from May 6 to 8 at the Vietnam Buddhist Academy in Ho Chi Minh City.

The main message of Vesak 2025 in Vietnam: "Solidarity and tolerance for human dignity: Buddhist wisdom for world peace and sustainable development".
