Launching the Sustainable Tourism Vocational Training Center

The ceremony introduced the model of the Sustainable Tourism Vocational Training Center, which combines theory with practice according to the criteria of reducing plastic waste, protecting the environment and developing sustainable tourism.

The center is not only a space to introduce good practices in plastic-reducing tourism to students and the community through the presentation of alternative materials for plastic in tourism, tourism operation processes, sustainable tourism vocational training, or plastic-reducing tours; but also a connection point for businesses, training facilities and stakeholders to jointly build a green, environmentally friendly and sustainable tourism system in the city.

This is an important milestone in the development journey of Hue College of Tourism towards green education , plastic reduction and sustainability.

Within the framework of the program, the school also signed a training cooperation agreement with wards and communes in Hue City, with the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, to support and share experiences, linking sustainable tourism development with the preservation and promotion of Hue cultural heritage values. At the same time, the school also signed agreements with localities to promote community tourism, preserve culture - heritage and local identity, implement vocational training programs according to practical needs, rural vocational training and improve community capacity.

The ceremony also introduced a one-day plastic-reducing tour developed by the Hue City Tourism Association, along with practical experience activities such as the cooking class “Cooking Class to reduce waste, reduce plastic” and make use of materials that are often discarded. Through this event, Hue College of Tourism affirmed its commitment to continue accompanying the TVA Project to expand, maintain and effectively promote the sustainable tourism training model, contributing to building Hue into a green, environmentally friendly destination.
