
The meeting was attended by Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Administration Nguyen Hong Minh; Head of High Performance Sports Department - Vietnam Sports Administration Hoang Quoc Vinh and departments attending the Congress.
According to the reports of the departments at the meeting, the preparation work of the teams is now entering the final stage. The teams will be camping from November 1 to focus all their efforts on the final preparation stage before entering the big campaign.
According to the football department's report, 4 football teams will gather in the southern region - which has a similar climate to Thailand, before the Games. Meanwhile, members of the karate team are also ready for the competitions at the 33rd SEA Games. In this sport, Vietnam will compete in all 15 events, according to the regulations of the Games.
Muay Thai and Pencak Silat have also been thoroughly prepared for the 33rd SEA Games. The Pencak Silat team, consisting of 30 athletes and 3 coaches, recently participated in the pre-SEA Games tournament in Thailand, winning 3 gold medals, 3 silver medals, and 4 bronze medals. This is a positive sign ahead of the 33rd SEA Games.
The Muay Thai team trained at two locations. Half of them trained at the High Level Athlete Training Center ( Hanoi ) with 24 athletes and 3 coaches and the other half trained at the National Sports Training Center (HCMC) with 13 athletes and 3 coaches. The team had a training trip and friendly match with the Thai Muay Thai team in Bangkok.
"SEA Games 33 will be more difficult than ever because this is Thailand's national martial art, especially when the host has high determination and good preparation. However, difficulties do not mean they cannot be overcome. The greater the difficulty, the higher the team's determination to complete the task at this SEA Games," said Ms. Tu Thi Le Na, Head of Pencak Silat and Muay - Vietnam Sports Administration.

The 16 members of the Archery team are also continuing to train actively at the National High Level Athlete Training Center. Before the SEA Games, on November 7, the archers will leave for the Asian Championship in Bangladesh.
This is considered a valuable opportunity for athletes to compete against the strongest opponents in the continent and also an opportunity for the team's coaching staff to grasp and analyze the balance of power between opponents in the Southeast Asian region, in order to make timely adjustments for the 33rd SEA Games.
Speaking at the meeting, Director of the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet requested that departments review all team members and select the best athletes to compete at the Congress.
The teams need to analyze and closely evaluate the balance of power with their opponents to have the best preparation. Regarding the delegation's staff, the Director requires that the right people and the right jobs be assigned to the delegation with the highest sense of responsibility, all for the common success of Vietnamese sports.

The components participating in the competition at the Congress using socialized funding sources also need to be carefully reviewed to ensure compliance with regulations and must be truly effective, avoiding waste.
Regarding the Vietnam Sports Administration, the Director said that the Administration will have the most thoughtful and thorough preparations for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation to compete at the 33rd SEA Games. This is not only the most important arena of regional sports but also the arena to carry out the interconnection task to prepare for the Asian Games and the Olympics.
The meeting to review the preparations for the 33rd SEA Games is not only a general check before departure but also demonstrates the sense of responsibility and high determination of the entire sports sector. With the close guidance of Director Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet and the efforts of each department, Vietnamese sports are heading towards the 33rd SEA Games with confidence, discipline and the desire to win - for the flag and pride of the Fatherland.
