According to AS , negotiations between Real Madrid and Benfica are going well. Manchester United have agreed to allow Benfica to negotiate without interfering in the deal.
Real Madrid hope to successfully recruit Carreras for a fee of 40 to 50 million euros. Benfica only spent 6 million euros to get this defender from MU, but with a clause allowing the "Red Devils" to have the right to buy back Carreras.
AS said that if Benfica sold Carreras to Real for 50 million euros, MU would receive 18 million euros as part of the deal. The English team has no intention of buying Carreras back when they already have Luke Shaw and Patrick Dorgu on the left wing.
