Brilliant heritage colors in Hue - a national cultural and tourist destination

The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Hue City to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Hue City.

Taking place within the framework of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025, the exhibition "Tourism space, cultural heritage, scenic spots and traditional handicrafts of Vietnam" aims to introduce and promote tangible and intangible cultural values, scenic spots of the country and people of Vietnam to the public. Thereby, contributing to spreading the beauty of heritage, nature and people of Vietnam, while strengthening regional connectivity in sustainable tourism development.

The exhibition space is elaborately designed with multiple layers of messages. The general exhibition area named “Vietnam’s tourism space, cultural heritage, and scenic spots” attracts viewers with impressive images of heritages recognized by UNESCO such as: Hue Monuments Complex, Ho Dynasty Citadel, Hue Royal Court Music, Tale of Kieu - World Memory Documentary Heritage… In addition, there are special national monuments, typical scenic spots and vivid everyday moments in the life of Vietnamese ethnic communities.

The content of "The ancient and present capital regions" takes the public through a unique historical journey: from Phu Tho - the land of the Hung Kings, to Hoa Lu (Ninh Binh), Lam Kinh (Thanh Hoa), Hue and Hanoi - places that once played the role of political and cultural centers of the nation.

At the exhibition, each region will bring its own distinct cultural features. From the space of a Kinh family with a cozy meal, the Dong Ho painting printing craft, the silver carving craft in the Northern Delta; to the Red Dao's ordination ceremony, the Khmer five-tone orchestra in the Southern region, Hue royal court music... All create a diverse and proud cultural picture of the 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam.

This year, many new highlights are expected to create depth and breadth for the exhibition. The space “Vietnamese Silk and the Story of Ao Dai” recreates the journey of the Ao Dai from a traditional costume to a “cultural item” in diplomacy and tourism. Along with that are exquisite silk collections, contributing to honoring the beauty of Vietnamese women.

The Vietnamese Tea Space brings together products and artisans from Ha Giang, Dien Bien, Thai Nguyen, etc., both introducing the culture of tea drinking and opening up a marketing direction for highland experiential tourism. Here, visitors can experience “each cup of tea - a land”.

The space of “Cultural heritage and scenic spot tourism” of 31 provinces/cities representing regions nationwide, introduces tangible and intangible cultural heritages, historical relics, festivals, typical scenic spots; types of tourism, tourism products; cuisine and typical products of the localities. Ha Giang province brings the majestic image of Dong Van stone plateau, Ma Pi Leng pass with specialties of men men, smoked meat; Bac Ninh brings visitors to the traditional quan ho village, Dong Ho folk paintings; Phu Yen introduces the Ghenh Da Dia scenic spot and the dish of tuna eyes; Dak Lak brings the image of Central Highlands gong culture, Buon Ma Thuot coffee...

A colorful Vietnam will appear vividly with a series of special art programs, connecting artists and artisans from all three regions.

The exhibition “Tourism Space, Cultural Heritage, Famous Places and Traditional Craft Products of Vietnam” is expected to be a meaningful cultural activity, contributing to enhancing exchanges between provinces and cities in organizing activities to link tourism development and cultural arts. At the same time, the activities at the exhibition will contribute to raising awareness and responsibility of the community, especially the young generation, in preserving and promoting the value of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, natural heritage, arousing love for the homeland, country, and national pride.
