Unblock the flow of knowledge with an intellectual playground
On November 18, the atmosphere at the yard of the Hanoi National University of Education High School for the Gifted became more exciting than ever with the Golden Gong 2025 program. Not only an intellectual playground, Golden Gong 2025 is also an opportunity for students to demonstrate their knowledge, quick wit and team spirit through a system of questions that are diverse in level and require thinking, compiled by specialized teachers in the school.
According to the rules of Khua Chieng Vang, after each question, the contestants with correct answers will continue to stay in the arena, while the contestants with incorrect answers are forced to leave their positions and need to wait for the rescue round to return. With attractive and competitive rules, combined with a set of challenging questions, the competition has become extremely tense and dramatic.
In particular, the teachers not only take on the role of compiling the question system, but also become the companions of the contestants in the rescue round. In this round, the teachers become a spiritual support, ready to support the contestants to regain the opportunity to move on. The enthusiastic participation of the team of teachers helped the contestants regain their form after moments of losing their rhythm, and at the same time, gave them more motivation to return to the stage, continuing the competition with more confidence and determination.
After intense competitions, Pham Le Minh (grade 12 English 2) excelled in helping Zone 3 – Minervus win the championship. This victory affirmed the contestant’s rich knowledge, intelligence, determination and confidence. The Organizing Committee awarded special prizes and extra points in the competition table, encouraging other Zones in the following seasons.
More than a competition, the Golden Gong Competition is an opportunity for students and teachers to experience, coordinate and increase their solidarity. From the resounding applause in the stands, the excited eyes following each question, to the bright or slightly tense faces of the contestants in the moments waiting for the results to be announced, all have created a vivid picture of the enthusiasm and youthful spirit of the students of the National University of Education High School.
Previously, Long Truong High School (HCMC) also successfully organized the interdisciplinary extracurricular activity Rung Chuong Vang with the participation of students from the whole school. The program was built with a rich system of questions, covering both Natural Sciences and Social Sciences. The questions are interdisciplinary, helping students to both memorize individual knowledge and apply logical thinking, deeply understanding the nature of the problem.
Not only is it an intellectual playground, Golden Bell is also an environment that helps students practice quick and logical thinking skills. In addition, the program also creates a lively, connected atmosphere full of positive energy through tense moments when only a few contestants remain on the stage, the cheers of the students in the stands, or the enthusiastic support of teachers in the rescue section.
At the end of the dramatic competitions, the first prize went to Bui Quoc Khang (class 12A11). The extracurricular activities ended in a vibrant atmosphere with the sound of the golden bell and enthusiastic applause, leaving many deep impressions on the students of the whole school. These impressions will more or less awaken the love of knowledge, the excitement of learning and the spirit of collective solidarity in the hearts of each student.
It is known that, aiming at the goal of building a "Happy School - Active Students", at the same time innovating teaching methods, enhancing experiences, helping students develop qualities and abilities, the Board of Directors and the Professional Team of Long Truong High School always focus on innovating educational forms. The interdisciplinary extracurricular activity Ring the Golden Bell is a clear demonstration of that spirit, an activity connecting teachers and students, spreading the joy of learning, arousing pride in Long Truong High School.
Promote learning through extracurricular activities and experiences
In recent times, in order to create conditions for teachers and students to exchange, study and develop their talents, many schools have been promoting learning through extracurricular activities and experiences. These activities not only provide a useful playground to help students develop their intelligence, arouse their passion for learning and solidarity, but also are suitable for the educational context that is changing strongly towards the direction of comprehensive development of students' qualities and abilities.
In fact, integrating many extracurricular activities, diverse and creative experiences into the curriculum has helped make educational content more practical. Students no longer have to memorize mechanically or fall into the situation of "teacher reads - student copies", but are encouraged to be proactive and creative in the learning process. The teaching and learning process therefore has a harmonious combination of knowledge in the classroom and practical activities, helping students practice many necessary skills to effectively solve problems in study and life.
Thanks to that, the teaching activities of teachers and the learning activities of students are more unified and interactive. Teachers not only impart knowledge but also play a leading and guiding role; students are not only recipients but can become the subjects of learning activities. This approach not only improves the effectiveness of teaching and learning but also maximizes the capacity and creativity of students, while creating a positive, proactive and flexible learning environment.
In addition, according to the motto "Comprehensive education of students in Morality - Intelligence - Fitness - Aesthetics", extracurricular activities and experiences also contribute to the harmonious development of knowledge, ethics, life skills, aesthetics and physical fitness for students. Or for the "Happy School" model, this is considered an effective solution to balance between studying - playing - developing skills and talents. If the pressure of studying, psychological and physiological fluctuations and social impacts are the reasons that can make students leave school, then extracurricular activities and experiences are the bridge, helping them stick with their studies, practice life skills and nurture a sense of responsibility and confidence in life.

In the context of modern education aiming at comprehensive development of students' qualities and abilities, extracurricular activities and experiences increasingly affirm their essential role alongside the main curriculum. In order to enrich teaching and learning activities, contribute to improving students' qualities and abilities and promote comprehensive education, on September 3, 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training issued guidelines on inviting experts, artisans, artists, coaches, and athletes to participate in educational activities in general schools.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the issuance of the above document aims to concretize Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW dated August 22, 2025 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development, which requires "education to ensure harmony between national and elite, comprehensive and specialized, national and global; develop education on the basis of culture and traditional values of the nation".
This is also an activity of the Ministry of Education and Training to implement Directive 17/CT-TTg dated June 6, 2025 of the Prime Minister on organizing 2 sessions/day of teaching and organizing summer activities for children and students, in which the goal of teaching 2 sessions/day is to improve the quality of comprehensive education in Morality - Intelligence - Fitness - Aesthetics, build a healthy, safe and beneficial educational environment, meeting the requirements of the new general education program.
