Up to now, the work for the 2024 Long An province sampan racing tournament has been carefully prepared by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, ready for the event taking place on April 26 in Tan An city.
This is the first time Long An has organized a provincial sampan racing tournament, attracting 16 units with more than 150 athletes to participate. The tournament will organize doubles and team competitions. There are 6 competition events with distances of 200m and 400m. The competition format is elimination to the final. The sampan racing route will start from Bao Dinh River, from Duc Bridge to Bao Dinh Bridge along Ngo Quyen Street, Ward 1, Tan An City.
This boat race aims to continue promoting the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho"; at the same time, celebrate the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2024) and the 138th anniversary of International Labor Day 01/05 (May 01, 1886 - May 01, 2024)./.
