The Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control (PCTT) and Search and Rescue of the Ministry of National Defense has just issued an official dispatch directing units to organize activities in response to the National PCTT Week with the theme "From response to early action".
The objective of the week is to enhance communication and information, improve community capacity and sense of responsibility of all levels and sectors from the central to grassroots levels in disaster prevention and control work; prepare disaster prevention and control plans for 2023; contribute to promoting the role and responsibility in the year Vietnam is the Chair of the ASEAN Committee on Disaster Management.
The activities focus on disseminating mechanisms, policies, legal documents of the Government, the Prime Minister, the National Steering Committee on Disaster Prevention and Control, resolutions and conclusions of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense on prevention, control and overcoming consequences of natural disasters, catastrophes, search and rescue; disseminating and implementing the "4 on-site" motto; educating cadres, soldiers and workers to properly perceive the importance of disaster prevention and control and search and rescue work, to have a strong political stance, not to be afraid of difficulties and hardships, to help Party committees, authorities and people effectively respond to natural disasters and catastrophes.
