According to Mr. Nguyen Van Doi, Director of Binh Thanh Cooperative, in recent years, Vietnam's rice brand has always been affirmed in the world market.

To achieve the above results, people in the Mekong Delta have focused on cultivating rice in a bio-safe manner, using high-quality, specialty varieties to serve domestic and export needs.

In addition, businesses and people have cooperated to develop raw material areas, which has gradually affirmed the brand of the rice industry.

Mr. Nguyen Van Doi also said that currently the cooperative is focusing on taking care of the Autumn-Winter rice crop with the mindset of high rice prices and opportunities to further affirm the prestige and position of the Vietnamese rice industry when some countries have been restricting and banning rice exports in recent times.

According to Mr. Doi: "This Fall-Winter, OM 18 accounts for about 70%, the rest is OM 380. I also shared with some farmers that I hope the price of rice will be higher than the Summer-Fall crop, so people are also trying to take meticulous care to achieve the highest efficiency."

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, a resident of Co Do district, Can Tho city, said that his family's autumn-winter rice crop is 50 days old and many traders have placed deposits at a price of 6,500 - 7,000 VND/kg but have not sold it yet. According to his assessment, rice prices are still increasing and export signals are improving.

"This year, rice prices are acceptable. Market prices are increasing steadily at this level, so people are very excited," Mr. Tung shared.

This year's Autumn-Winter rice crop, Can Tho planted more than 62,000 hectares of rice, currently about 50% of the rice area is in the earing and flowering stages.

Mr. Tran Thai Nghiem, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Can Tho city, said that to increase the value of the local rice industry, the locality has promoted the connection between people, businesses, scientists and the state in the industry chain.

This has increased the value of the rice industry, stabilized prices and, most importantly, affirmed the Vietnamese rice brand.

Mr. Nghiem also added: "Identify planning for rice production areas with favorable conditions to focus on investing resources in developing infrastructure, improving technical conditions, and promoting the linkage chain.

Implement solutions to ensure food safety and hygiene for rice, associated with gradually making the production process transparent with production logs, tracing the origin and the key issue is the connection between farmers, cooperatives and businesses to create increasingly close links.

In recent years, the locality has promoted the connection of rice consumption between people and businesses, which has helped businesses have a source of raw materials and people feel secure in production, thereby increasing the value of the rice industry.

"Regarding the rice consumption situation of enterprises signing contracts with farmers, in the Summer-Autumn crop, we organized 14 enterprises to sign contracts to ensure product consumption on 64% of the area, and for the Fall-Winter crop, there were 13 enterprises and in the Fall-Winter crop, almost all the seeding areas of An Giang province, enterprises signed contracts for about 95%" - Mr. Huan said.

Meanwhile, Vietnam's rice exports are continuously increasing, some types of rice have reached the threshold of 690 USD/ton, this is a good sign for Vietnam's rice industry.
