Smart manufacturing, a trend-appropriate direction

The application solutions, development of smart cities (TPTM), smart industrial parks (IPs) and the signing of cooperation agreements with technology partners are the initial results of creating the next generation of soft infrastructure of Becamex IDC, creating the first "bricks" for the process of self-mastering technology solutions and practical implementation of enterprises (DN).

Promoting solutions

As a state-owned enterprise, Becamex IDC Corporation is assigned by the province to connect, establish projects and coordinate with localities and departments to implement the construction of smart cities. Currently, Becamex IDC is also building an innovation ecosystem and is also a leading unit in the construction and development of industrial park infrastructure today.

According to Dr. Pham Tuan Anh, Director of Becamex IDC Smart City Office, to meet the requirements, Becamex IDC has assigned its member unit VNTT to deploy technological solutions to apply digital transformation and develop Binh Duong Smart City. Currently, Becamex IDC and VNTT have built solution sets and smart city and smart industrial park service products on the basis of implementing the process of self-mastering technological solutions. From there, practical implementation to apply to the process of developing Smart City in the new period, helping Binh Duong to improve and upgrade its infrastructure, while supporting investors to gradually transform the development model from labor-intensive to knowledge-intensive and technology-intensive.

Provincial leaders and Becamex IDC witnessed the signing ceremony of development cooperation between VNTT and partner NTT Data - a member of the Japanese NTT Group.

Recently, VNTT has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with partner NTT Data - a member of NTT Group Japan in deploying solutions for applying smart city and smart industrial park to serve investors in industrial parks converting to smart factories, aiming to master technology and smart development solutions in a comprehensive and sustainable manner. Accordingly, the two sides will coordinate to expand the market, smart production, cooperate to serve the needs of investors, train and transfer technology; cooperate to develop and expand the market in fields, products or services in which the parties have advantages.

NTT Data supports VNTT in expanding its market through solutions suitable for specific projects in the Vietnamese and Southeast Asian markets. The two sides cooperate in researching and developing common solutions to serve the needs of investors, training, transferring technology and expertise to upgrade the capacity and human resources of each side.

Previously, VNTT and Becamex IDC signed a memorandum of understanding on transforming the operation of Becamex IDC's industrial park into a smart industrial park, a green and sustainable industrial ecosystem. Becamex IDC's industrial park system will apply solutions for smart wastewater treatment plants, smart security cameras, smart traffic, smart lighting and many other utilities. All will be controlled, monitored and observed at the Becamex IDC Smart Operation Center located at WTC Tower, Binh Duong New City.

Building smart industrial parks

Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuan, General Director of Becamex IDC, said that entering a new phase, with the explosion of science and technology and new business and trade models, Binh Duong determined to continue to make breakthroughs, bringing the Smart City project to a higher level of development - the Innovation Zone, creating new momentum to boost development momentum, meeting the needs of people and businesses. Binh Duong aims to build science and technology industrial parks with high intellectual content, productivity and efficiency. To achieve that, many solutions on smart technology, big data, etc. are researched and applied so that businesses have the opportunity to transform production and proactively integrate internationally.

Becamex IDC has been developing a new type of ecosystem, supplementing the industrial - urban - service model, which is an ecosystem of innovation and science and technology, building smart industrial parks, smart cities, contributing to bringing Binh Duong industry to a higher segment in the global value chain. Specifically, phase 1, building new and upgrading existing industrial parks into green, smart industrial parks, with the ability to provide 4.0 technology platforms such as IoT, Big Data, AI ... to help investors easily deploy smart factory models, smart production quickly and effectively. Phase 2, developing industrial parks associated with science and technology to attract institutes, research and development activities and innovation, service industries, digital services.

Based on the signed agreements, Vietnamese and Japanese partners will join hands to deploy solutions for applying smart cities and smart industrial parks to serve investors in transforming production substantially and effectively.
