At exactly 6:00 a.m. this morning, July 1, at Quan Su Pagoda (Hanoi), the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, three solemn bell and drum rings resounded, opening the ceremony of praying for national peace and prosperity.

From 5am, hundreds of Buddhists were present at Quan Su Pagoda to attend and witness this meaningful spiritual ceremony.

The Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha said that July 1 marks the official date of operation of the two-level local government model in provinces and cities after the implementation of the arrangement.

This is an event of special historical significance, marking an important turning point for the country on its journey towards prosperous development.

At Quan Su Pagoda ( Hanoi ) this morning, a chanting and praying ceremony was held.

At Quan Su Pagoda, in a solemn and peaceful atmosphere, hundreds of Buddhists chanted sutras together, praying for peace in the country and happiness for the people.

* Previously, at exactly 0:00 on July 1, nearly 1,000 monks and nuns solemnly held a grand ceremony to pray for national peace and prosperity at the Vietnam Buddhist Academy (VBA) in Hanoi.

The ceremony took place at a sacred moment, marking a historic turning point for the country as it entered a new era of development, with the spirit of Buddhism always accompanying the nation.

Most Venerable Thich Thanh Quyet, Vice President of the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, President of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Academy in Hanoi, emphasized that this is a particularly sacred moment, of a new day, a new hour, a new minute of a new opportunity, a new fortune for the country.

“Buddhist monks and nuns always accompany State agencies, Party committees , and authorities. We always encourage people to implement the guidelines, policies, and strategies of the Party and State. From there, Buddhism helps the Party and State unite the nation and religions into one bloc to step into a new opportunity, success, joy, and fulfillment,” emphasized Most Venerable Thich Thanh Quyet.

At Bai Dinh Pagoda ( Ninh Binh ), Buddhists rang the bell three times to officially welcome the new fortunes of the nation.

In the context of the entire political system promoting administrative reform, the VBS also proactively arranges and streamlines the organization in accordance with Circular 256 of the Board of Trustees.

One of the important contents is the cessation of the activities of the District Executive Committee in many localities, a major change, reflecting the spirit of accompanying the country in optimizing the apparatus, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of operations.
