On September 1, singer Ho Ngoc Ha's fanpage posted: "Due to a pre-arranged schedule in Europe, Ha missed the invitation to perform at the grand ceremony on the morning of September 2 at Ba Dinh Square and several other events. Celebrating the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day on September 2."

Many netizens harshly commented on Ho Ngoc Ha's prioritizing of her personal schedule over the country's happy day, comparing her to colleagues such as My Tam, Den Vau, Hoang Thuy Linh... who arranged all their work to participate in the parade and perform at the A80 event.

The female singer then deleted the above content, leaving only the sentence: "Happy 80th Anniversary of Vietnam National Day September 2nd" and switched the post to limited comment mode.

Today, September 2, singer Ho Ngoc Ha officially apologized. She said that because she wanted to join the joyful atmosphere of the whole country, the crew posted it with a sharing spirit, not expecting to cause mixed reactions.

"On behalf of the crew, I would like to apologize to everyone," the singer wrote.

8X clarified that she did not "run shows in Europe" as many fanpages posted, but went because of family matters. She "felt so regretful" that she could not join the happy day with the people and colleagues.

On this occasion, Ho Ngoc Ha revealed for the first time that her parents were both revolutionary soldiers. Specifically, Mr. Ho Sy An participated in the resistance war, lost a leg, and later became the "most energetic wounded soldier" in his daughter's heart.

Ms. Ngoc Huong lost her mother when she was not yet 9 years old. After her mother died in the "rain" of bombs, Ms. Huong single-handedly raised her younger siblings.

"I lived and studied in a military environment and clearly understood that toughness and deep love are sometimes not just words or actions, but a whole process of dedication, help and construction. Everyone will shed tears when witnessing the images of the past and especially of today, including me and you," Ho Ngoc Ha wrote.

On her personal page, Ms. Ngoc Huong often posts pictures of the couple.

On important national occasions such as April 30, September 2 or the Vietnam People's Army Founding Day December 22, Mr. Sy An and Ms. Ngoc Huong still meet old comrades and recall old memories.

Some pictures show Mr. Sy An wearing military uniform with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel with his comrades and Ms. Ngoc Huong wearing the rank of Lieutenant.
