Bank interest rates today October 27, 2025 give 'big gifts', 3-month term hits ceiling

According to an announcement from Loc Phat Vietnam Commercial Joint Stock Bank ( LPBank ), this bank will give customers who deposit savings a preferential interest rate plus up to 1.5%/year when depositing savings from today (October 27) to November 5.

Additional interest rates are applied to new individual customers who deposit savings from 100 million VND for Regular Savings with interest paid at the end of the term and from 1 billion VND for Prosperity Savings.

Accordingly, savings interest rates are added for deposit terms of 3 months, 6 months, 12 months and 18 months.

Thus, the 3-month online banking interest rate on the LPBank app will reach the "ceiling peak" of 4.75%/year.

With the additional mobilization interest rate, customers will also receive interest rates above 6%/year when meeting LPBank's conditions as prescribed.

Specifically, the savings interest rate usually paid at the end of the term at the counter for 6-month and 12-month terms is 6.1%/year, and for 18-month terms is 6.2%/year.

Online savings interest rates for 6-month and 12-month terms also reached 6.2%/year, while the interest rate for 18-month terms was 6.3%/year.

Loc Phat Thinh Vuong savings interest rate applied for 6-month term deposits is 6.3%/year and 18-month term is up to 6.4%/year.

LPBank said it will record the additional preferential interest rate for qualified deposits within a maximum of 2 working days from the date the customer successfully makes the transaction.

In addition to LPBank, a series of commercial banks have recently announced incentive programs to give additional deposit interest rates or gifts to customers, including Vietcombank, VietinBank, Techcombank, GPBank, Vikki Bank, VietBank, SeABank ...

LPBank's online deposit interest rates paid at the end of the term (not including preferential interest rates) are listed as follows: 1-month term is 3.6%/year, 2-month term is 3.7%/year, 3-5-month term is 3.9%/year, 6-11-month term is 5.1%/year and 12-60-month term is 5.4%/year.

According to statistics, 6 banks have increased their deposit interest rates since the beginning of October, including: GPBank, NCB, Vikki Bank, Bac A Bank , VCBNeo and HDBank. Of which, Bac A Bank is the first bank to increase interest rates for the second time in a month.
