Coach Conte and Napoli's fears have come true: Kevin de Bruyne has been diagnosed with a serious thigh muscle injury and is expected to be out of action for several months.

Unfortunately, the former Man City midfielder was in trouble after scoring from the penalty spot to give Napoli a 1-0 lead over Inter Milan on the evening of October 25th.

However, as his teammates celebrated, De Bruyne clutched his right thigh. On the sidelines, manager Conte looked visibly worried.

De Bruyne then broke down in tears, further increasing the fans' concern. He had to leave the field in the 37th minute.

Napoli secured a 3-1 victory over Inter Milan, moving to the top of Serie A – level on 18 points with AS Roma, but with a better goal difference.

There is no specific information about De Bruyne's recovery time, but according to Italian media, the situation appears similar to Romelu Lukaku's injury in August, which kept him out of action for about four months.

De Bruyne has a history of muscle problems, having suffered a similar injury while at Man City, which kept him sidelined for three months.

Conte's move to Napoli, bringing De Bruyne from Man City, has been met with mixed reactions. Some consider it a good signing, while others criticize the midfielder for not playing up to par and failing to make the impact on the reigning Serie A champions as expected.
