With the theme "Developing and governing safe, transparent and responsible artificial intelligence", VIDW 2025 focuses on discussing strategies, policies and legal frameworks to ensure sustainable AI development, serving people and society.

Vietnam International Digital Week is an annual international event, gathering about 800 domestic and international delegates, including Ministerial leaders, heads of delegations from ASEAN countries, strategic partners such as the United States, South Korea, Australia, and leaders of international organizations such as the United Nations (UN), the World Bank (WB), UNESCO, the European Union (EU), the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Asia- Pacific Telecommunication Community (APT). The event also has the participation of many leading domestic and foreign technology corporations, sharing trends, technologies and experiences in digital transformation, artificial intelligence and open data.
Initiated in 2019, VIDW has become the region's leading prestigious forum on digital transformation. In 2025, under the chairmanship of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Digital Week continues to affirm its role as a strategic connection platform, bringing together policymakers, international organizations, experts and leading technology enterprises.
The highlight of the program is the Ministerial Roundtable on Artificial Intelligence Governance, held on the morning of October 27. The conference creates a high-level forum for stakeholders to share experiences, initiatives and policies on responsible AI governance. According to the representative of the Ministry of Science and Technology, this is an opportunity for Vietnam to affirm its proactive and innovative role in international cooperation on science , technology, innovation and digital transformation, while promoting the building of a regional cooperation framework on AI in ASEAN and with global partners.
In addition to the conference activities, VIDW 2025 also has an outdoor technology demonstration, introducing innovative products and solutions in the fields of AI, 5G, digital infrastructure and digital transformation of Vietnamese enterprises. This activity helps delegates and attendees experience new technologies firsthand, while opening up opportunities for cooperation and investment between domestic and international enterprises.
Within the framework of the event, many conferences, workshops and thematic forums were held, focusing on six key areas: 5G and digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, digital human resource development, digital technology enterprises and innovation. Notable activities include: Vietnam - European Union Digital Cooperation Forum, Vietnam Digital Partnership Forum - Digital Cooperation Organization, Workshop on sustainable telecommunications infrastructure development, ASEAN Conference on 5G and Regional Workshop on AI-based Digital Transformation. In parallel, there are business connection programs, creating opportunities for participating units to seek cooperation and investment partners.

During the Digital Week 2025, many bilateral, cultural and diplomatic activities were also held to promote the image of a dynamic and innovative Vietnam to international friends.
