After several days of spraying, on November 19, residents living on D1 Street, Phu Loi residential area, said that caterpillars continued to crawl on tree trunks and house walls. Some households closed their doors and regularly cleaned their yards to limit the worms from crawling into their houses.

Caterpillars crawl on tree trunks, creating black patches, then crawl down to the road surface and house walls.

People hope that the authorities will continue to handle the situation thoroughly, without affecting the health and lives of the residents.

Discussing the above phenomenon, Ms. Nguyen Phan Quynh Nhu, Head of the Economic - Infrastructure and Urban Department of Phu Loi Ward, added that farmers often call this a sap-sucking worm, which often appears on large tree trunks. The Department has coordinated with functional units to spray pesticides, and so far the number has basically decreased. The locality continues to closely monitor the spraying and handling process to reassure people.
