VFF boss congratulates Nguyen Xuan Son

On November 12, President of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Tran Quoc Tuan met and encouraged the Vietnamese team at the headquarters in Viet Tri ( Phu Tho ).

Chairman Tran Quoc Tuan praised the spirit and efforts of the players during the intense competition period in the V-League. At the same time, he acknowledged the professionalism of the whole team in maintaining stable physical strength and form to quickly integrate with the national team.

The VFF President emphasized that the team needs to maintain the highest concentration and determination in the remaining matches of the qualifying round, holding on to the opportunity until the end in the race for a ticket to the 2027 Asian Cup finals.

Mr. Tuan also sent his congratulations to striker Nguyen Xuan Son for his complete recovery after a long period of injury treatment, and his readiness to return to contribute to the national team.

In the first training session of the Vietnam team on November 11, Xuan Son entered the field and brought a fresh, open atmosphere among the players.

When asked how Nguyen Xuan Son's return will affect the Vietnamese team, defender Pham Xuan Manh said: "Xuan Son always brings positive energy to the whole team. He always has a smile on his face and brings excitement to his teammates."

As for coach Kim Sang Sik, the Korean strategist, on behalf of the coaching staff and the entire team, sent deep thanks to VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan for always caring for and standing side by side with the team in every stage.

"The upcoming match against Laos is the last match in 2025, we will try our best to bring complete joy to the fans," coach Kim Sang Sik expressed.

Captain Do Duy Manh, on behalf of the players, expressed great determination. He said: "Although each player has different roles and responsibilities, we all have the same goal of building a united team, overcoming difficulties and responding to the trust and love of the fans."

The Laos - Vietnam match will take place at 7:00 p.m. on November 19.
