The series of activities of the 2023 Science Innovation Festival Exhibition, the 40th Student Scientific Research and Innovation Conference, and the launch of the 2023 Young Innovation Competition were organized by the University of Technology on June 9 in Hanoi.
Students of Hanoi University of Science and Technology create many useful products
In the 40th year, scientific research activities attracted 353 student research projects to participate in the competition.
Creative research products from Polytechnic students include both basic and applied research to solve real-life problems.
Many research results are linked to the practical needs of society, such as the research "Determining the fetal nuchal translucency using ultrasound images" by students of the School of Information Technology and Communications, the topic "Application of XY ultra-wideband technology to build an object positioning system in a warehouse" by students of the School of Mechanics...
Research on solving hot environmental problems of recycling and reuse according to the circular economy approach of students from the School of Chemistry and Life Sciences. Research on solving problems in network security such as the topic "Re-identifying people in surveillance camera systems" by students from the School of Electricity and Electronics....
According to the school leaders, the trend of interdisciplinary research is increasingly evident, when many students register for topics that use knowledge and skills of one field to solve problems of another field. Examples include "Research on synthesizing interconnected structural materials from Polycaprolactone - Carbonate Apatite using 3D printing method for bone transplant applications" presented in the Materials Science and Engineering section, research on synthesizing composite materials (synthetic materials) for biomedical applications, the topic "Multifunctional integrated 3D printer for tissue technology and regenerative medicine" by students of the School of Mechanical Engineering...
