Afraid that their family is "inferior" (?)

After finishing his agricultural secondary school, Manh only wished to return to work in his hometown. His decision was truly admirable, because in this countryside, young adults all try to “spread their wings and fly far away”, while on normal days, the countryside is filled with only old people and children.

For a long time, it was difficult to find people to work as village cadres, the main source was retired people. Therefore, when Manh finished his studies and decided to return to his hometown to do business, many village cadres were very happy.

Returning to his hometown, Manh was elected to the Executive Committee of the village Youth Union. When the Youth Union Secretary went to work in Japan, Manh was elected as the leader of the Youth Union. With the "left-handed" skills he learned at school, especially in organizing youth movements, Manh strengthened the Youth Union in terms of organization and promoted activities. In less than 6 months, from a "dormant" state, the Youth Union awakened with many rich and useful activities. Manh's public and private affairs, movement activities and agricultural economic thinking were all very prominent. Those with a positive perspective all trusted, supported and encouraged Manh.

It was thought that the “bundle of chopsticks” had chosen the “flagpole”! But no, several times the Party cell and branch had met to admit Manh into the Party and choose him as a source for village chief (to replace the incumbent who was old), but Manh never had a majority, and never succeeded. In those meetings, the opinions supporting Manh were only a few, while the opposing opinions were overwhelming with all kinds of reasons: That he was only superficial and had no depth; that he was enthusiastic but still lacked maturity; that to become a village chief, one needed to learn and accumulate much, much more...

It is easy to see that the opinions that do not support Manh are all from party members of a large family in the village (accounting for more than 2/3 of the party cells). In fact, the party members of this family did not agree to admit Manh into the Party and choose him as a source for village chief simply because the branch secretary was not related to them. The party members with this large family name whispered to each other not to support Manh, and even at the clan meeting, they brought up the issue: Try to wait for someone from the family who is wandering far away to do business to return to be the village chief and party cell secretary. Our family is the largest in the village, so we cannot let someone from another family become a leader, making our family "inferior" (?).

The petty selfishness and non-collective and non-objective behavior as above are far from the Party culture, causing disunity, and are a manifestation of localism. From another perspective, it is also a one-sided, negative view, causing young people to lose their motivation to strive, causing harmful consequences for both the collective and individuals, especially negatively affecting the work of building a strong Party in terms of politics , ideology, ethics, organization and cadres, and the work of creating sources and building a team of grassroots cadres. What is even more dangerous is that the above negative thoughts and actions are the excuse for hostile and reactionary forces to exploit, thereby exaggerating and inciting to sabotage our Party and our regime, causing "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party.

Therefore, each Party member must uphold the Party spirit, correctly implement the principles in Party activities, ensure to perceive and solve problems fairly and objectively, for the development of the collective - only then can one be a civilized and progressive person. In particular, Party members must seriously practice self-criticism and criticism, not participate in clan meetings that interfere with the work of Party committees, Party cells and authorities at all levels whose content is contrary to both law and morality; at the same time, carefully choose words to advise, contribute ideas and persuade relatives to abandon negative, short-sighted and local thoughts and ideas.
