The Department of Education and Training needs to focus on the task of improving the quality of mass education.

On the afternoon of August 6, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ta Anh Tuan had a working session with the leaders of the Department of Education and Training (DET) on a number of issues related to the advisory and management work of the education and training sector.

Attending the meeting were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thien Van; representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches and units.

In the past time, the Department of Education and Training has done a good job of advising on the contents in the field of responsibility, ensuring efficiency, quality, and on-time progress, contributing to the completion of the province's common tasks.

After the merger, the whole province has 1,379 educational institutions under the management of the Department of Education and Training, with 708,428 students (preschool, general education, vocational education - continuing education and students); the total number of managers and teachers is 38,441 people. In the 2024 - 2025 school year, the education sector has proactively and flexibly implemented solutions to innovate teaching methods and forms, testing and assessment to improve the quality of education according to the 2018 General Education Program.

The rate of students passing the high school graduation exam in 2025 reached 98.36%; the quality of key education continued to be maintained; improving the quality of teaching and learning English was focused on. Career guidance education was widely implemented at all levels, creating motivation and goals for students to study; helping students have a certain understanding in choosing a future career. Education policies in ethnic minority and particularly disadvantaged areas were fully implemented according to regulations...

Currently, educational institutions are focusing on enrollment; improving school facilities; organizing professional training... for the new school year 2025 - 2026.

Representatives of the Department of Finance presented opinions related to financial work of the education sector.

At the meeting, the leaders of the Department of Education and Training proposed a number of contents related to the financial sector; management of public assets (school facilities); supplementing the teacher payroll, etc.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ta Anh Tuan highly appreciated the results achieved by the education and training sector in recent times.

At the same time, it should be noted that education and training is an important field related to sustainable development in many aspects, so the province will create conditions for the sector to develop and have higher requirements and demands in terms of quality.

The Department of Education and Training needs to have a comprehensive assessment of the impact of the operation of two-level local government on education and training. From there, propose specific solutions to improve the quality of the team of managers and teachers; pay more attention to discipline, order, and ethics of teachers; have solutions to improve the quality of mass education; take more care of education in disadvantaged areas, ethnic minority areas, etc.
