In the period of 2021 - 2025, the work of gender equality and women's advancement in the province has gradually entered life. In particular, the role, position and contribution of women are increasingly enhanced, clearly demonstrated in all fields. Female officials holding key positions at all levels are increasingly interested; the rate of female workers participating in the labor market is increasing. By the end of 2024, 100% of provincial-level local governments, 70% of district-level governments and nearly 80% of commune-level governments have female key leaders; the rate of female directors, business owners and cooperatives is over 30%. Coordination programs and activities to support women in implementing gender equality in all fields have achieved many positive results; creating favorable conditions for women to effectively exercise their basic rights and promote their potential and creativity, contributing to the economic and social development of the locality.

Speaking at the conference, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Y Ngoc requested that all levels of the Women's Union, departments, branches and sectors continue to coordinate and direct the grassroots to implement gender equality associated with industrialization and modernization, especially in the digital age; prevent and combat domestic violence and effectively implement economic development programs, reduce poverty, create jobs and increase income. The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested to diversify types of activities, coordinate to support women, especially ethnic minority women, to implement gender equality, and shorten the gender gap between regions. In particular, in the new period after the province's merger, each cadre, member and woman in the province must continue to strive to study to improve their qualifications in all aspects and practice the necessary skills to not only participate in social activities and jobs but also fully realize their legitimate and legal rights and interests, confidently entering the new era of the nation.

On this occasion, the Provincial Women's Union awarded Certificates of Merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union to 20 collectives and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing Project 8 "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children"./.
