With the theme "Happy, useful, safe summer", the activity not only provides a healthy and useful playground for children but also demonstrates the deep concern of the Party Committee and Regiment commander for taking care of the young generation, the future owners of the country.
This year, Regiment 5 organized 4 sub-camps, representing the Battalions and Company blocks under the Regiment, along with 1 central command camp. Each sub-camp was elaborately and creatively designed with bamboo or iron frames, decorated with its own unique identity, bearing the traditional imprint of the unit, creating a camp space that is lively, close, and friendly to children.
Within the framework of the festival, there were experiential activities and competitions that attracted the participation of many officers, soldiers and children. The highlight was the cooking competition with the competition between teams representing 3 Battalions and affiliated Companies. Warm family meals, dishes with the taste of the homeland were beautifully presented, demonstrating the ingenuity and dedication of the soldiers behind the trenches.
Another highlight was the Children’s Fashion Design Competition. Each company was a team of “designers” who were officers, soldiers and “child models”. On stage, the costumes were made from recycled materials, combined with the themes of the environment, islands, flags and colors… to convey a profound humanistic message, aesthetic education and patriotism to the children.
In addition, folk games such as blindfolded duck catching, fish catching, piggy bank smashing, etc. were organized by the units, creating an exciting atmosphere and laughter throughout the barracks, leaving many good impressions in the hearts of children and parents.
Lieutenant Colonel Le Cong Danh - Commander of Regiment 5 said: "This year's summer activities are not only a playground for children but also a testament to the comprehensive care and concern of the Party Committee and Regiment commander for the families and rear of the officers and soldiers.
Through playgrounds, creative competitions and familiar folk games, children not only have fun and play safely but are also educated about traditions, ethics, a lifestyle of solidarity, humanity and team spirit, core values in the military environment.
We believe that those childhood memories will be the luggage and motivation for the children to continue to strive to study and practice, to become good children, good students, good team members, and good children of Uncle Ho."
