SON HOA: 12 sugarcane fires occurred with a damaged area of ​​over 67 hectares

Specifically, 7.7 hectares of sugarcane burned in Suoi Bac commune (6 households), 17.78 hectares burned in Cung Son town (18 households), 2.3 hectares in Suoi Trai commune (3 households), 1.8 hectares in Son Phuoc commune (3 households), 8 hectares in Son Nguyen commune (9 households), 4 hectares in Son Ha commune (4 households), 3.9 hectares in Ea Cha Rang commune (3 households), 16 hectares in Ca Lui commune (11 households), 2 hectares in Krong Pa commune (1 household), 4 hectares in Son Xuan commune (4 households) and 0.08 hectares in Son Dinh commune (1 household).

Faced with the above situation, the People's Committee of Son Hoa district has issued a document directing the district's functional departments, the People's Committees of communes and towns to continue investigating, clarifying and determining the cause of the burnt sugarcane; guiding people on management and care. At the same time, it is requested that KCP Vietnam Industrial Company Limited have specific policies to support households with investment contracts to reduce difficulties for farmers whose sugarcane has been burnt.
