Briefing on the expected program, content of the Conference and the purpose and significance of Vietnam hosting the Conference, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Vu Hai Ha, Deputy Head of the Conference Organizing Committee, said that the Conference will take place from September 14-17, and is an important forum for young Vietnamese National Assembly Deputies and the younger generation to have the opportunity to exchange, learn, and be inspired by more than 300 National Assembly Deputies, Parliamentarians, and international delegates from different countries around the world. Through participating in the activities of the Conference, delegates can build relationships, create networks with young people, parliamentarians, and young leaders from all over the world, helping delegates broaden their global vision, explore new aspects, and better understand global issues.
Regarding the Conference program, on September 14, the Conference will organize a Seminar on “Enhancing digital capacity for youth”; opening the Exhibition of Innovation achievements and OCOP products. On September 15, the Conference will organize the Opening Session, thematic discussions on digital transformation, innovation and startups. On September 16, the Conference will organize the 3rd discussion session on promoting respect for cultural diversity for sustainable development. On the occasion of this Conference, on September 17, the Organizing Committee will introduce international delegates to visit Ha Long Bay to promote the landscape recognized by UNESCO as a world natural heritage as well as the development of Vietnam.
Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Vu Hai Ha, Deputy Head of the Conference Organizing Committee, reported a summary of the expected program and content of the Conference and the purpose and significance of Vietnam hosting the Conference.
Regarding the content of the Conference, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Vu Hai Ha stated that at the discussion session on digital transformation, delegates will exchange opinions on perfecting institutions and policies in promoting the digital transformation process to enhance opportunities for sustainable development; share experiences of parliaments of countries in legislative work, supervision and the role of young parliamentarians to promote the digital transformation process in the context of the 4th Industrial Revolution; share progress made in digitizing parliamentary activities for sustainable development.
In addition, delegates will propose policy solutions to improve institutions, innovate, test new models, deploy new applications, digital platforms, accelerate digital transformation; popularize digital connectivity, raise digital awareness, digital culture and digital skills for people, narrow the digital gap and ensure equitable access to technology towards the goal of leaving no one behind in the digital environment, ensuring sustainable development.

Regarding the purpose and significance of Vietnam hosting the Conference, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Vu Hai Ha said that this is an important and meaningful foreign affairs event, affirming Vietnam's active, responsible and proactive participation in the IPU - the world's largest inter-parliamentary organization; at the same time, showing Vietnam's attention and concern for youth and current global issues of youth.
The conference is also a practical activity to implement Directive No. 25-CT/TW of the Secretariat of the 12th Party Central Committee on promoting and enhancing multilateral diplomacy to 2030 and the Vietnam Youth Development Strategy for the 2021-2030 period.
The conference is also an opportunity to widely promote to international friends the cultural traditions, country, people, foreign policy and achievements of Vietnam's socio-economic development. At the same time, it is also an opportunity to strengthen diplomatic relations between Vietnam and many important partners.

Speaking at the end of the press conference, Secretary General of the National Assembly, Chairman of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong, Deputy Head of the Conference Organizing Committee, stated that this is the largest-ever Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians, with profound and practical topics and many rich and diverse activities, clearly demonstrating the Party and State's concern for the young generation. Our Party and State always highly appreciate the role of young people in developing the country, building a peaceful and prosperous world and solving global challenges. This conference will also demonstrate the special role and strengths of Vietnamese youth organizations.
Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong stated that with the close attention of leaders at all levels, the preparation work on content and conditions to ensure the organization of the Conference in terms of information, propaganda, security, health, logistics, etc. has been carried out carefully and comprehensively. Up to now, the preparation work has been basically completed, the Conference Organizing Committee is ready to successfully organize the 9th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians.
