Subaru WRX 2025 only 1.7 billion in Vietnam, much cheaper than the old version

The 2025 Subaru WRX in Vietnam has valuable upgrades such as Recaro sports seats, STI Exclusive-style instrument cluster, and EyeSight 4.0 technology package.

Subaru WRX in Vietnam is a sports sedan that is famous for being "picky". The car has just been introduced by the Japanese automaker with an upgraded version and displayed at an exhibition taking place in Ho Chi Minh City. According to information from the dealer, the WRX 2025 will be sold in the Vietnamese market with two transmission options: manual transmission and CVT automatic transmission.

The suggested retail price of the Subaru WRX 2025 is 1.699 billion VND for the MT version and 1.799 billion VND for the CVT version. This price is significantly lower than the selling price of over 2 billion VND when the model was previously introduced, creating more favorable conditions for those who love this sports sedan.

As an upgrade, the new 2025 Subaru WRX sports sedan has notable tweaks, especially in the interior. The most noticeable change is the appearance of new Recaro sports seats.

The instrument cluster now features the STI Exclusive style. In addition, the car is also equipped with an 11.6-inch central touchscreen, supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone air conditioning, and an electric steering wheel and driver's seat.

In terms of performance, the upgraded Subaru WRX 2025 continues to use a 2.4L turbocharged 4-cylinder boxer engine, producing 271 horsepower and 349 Nm of maximum torque.

Full-time four-wheel drive (AWD) is standard, while the suspension has been upgraded with electronically controlled dampers (ECD), making the car more stable when operating at high speeds or over difficult roads.

Another plus is that the safety system has also been upgraded with the EyeSight 4.0 technology package. The new version adds tire pressure monitoring and emergency stop assist.

Previously, the "play cars" group including Subaru WRX, Honda Civic Type R and Mercedes-AMG A 35 all had a selling price of over 2 billion VND. However, currently, the prices of these three models have changed significantly.

Currently, the Subaru WRX 2025 is selling for just under 1.7 billion VND, while its competitors in the same segment, the Honda Civic Type R, have skyrocketed to nearly 3 billion VND. The A 35 alone is being "cleared" for just over 1.4 billion VND, but it is the old version of 2022.

However, in terms of performance, both the Civic Type R and A 35 are better than the Subaru WRX 2025. However, with a reduced price and many valuable upgrades on this new generation, is it possible that the WRX will change the game in the Vietnamese market?
