BMW M2CS - 2026 high-performance coupe suddenly appeared

The 2026 BMW M2 CS high-performance sports coupe suddenly appeared at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2025 with important information leaked.

The BMW M2 CS is the premium variant, positioned above the Competition. The "CS" concept stands for "Competition Sport", while CSL stands for "Coupe Sport Leichtbau" - a lightweight sports coupe.

The new BMW M2 CS has an integrated ducktail spoiler and a trunk lid made of plastic and carbon fiber. The rear diffuser is enlarged.

Customers can choose from Black Sapphire, Brooklyn Grey or Portimao Blue paint colors. The optional BMW Individual Velvet Blue Metallic costs $3,600.

The highlight of the side of the car is the 827M bronze-colored rims combined with 275/35 ZR19 front tires and 285/30 ZR20 rear tires. In particular, the M2 CS will have road tires as a free option.

Up front, the M2 CS gets a matte black splitter and a more aggressive-looking kidney grille, with a 5mm lower ride height, 120mm of ground clearance, and tweaked dampers and chassis; carbon-ceramic brakes are an $8,500 option.

The M2 CS interior features carbon-fibre racing seats (M Carbon Bucket Seats) in black Merino leather, with M accents and CS badging. The steering wheel is finished in Alcantara and has a red stripe at the 12 o'clock position. M seatbelts and side sills engraved with "M2 CS" underline the vehicle's exclusivity.

Similar to the standard M2 version, the BMW M2 CS has a dashboard and a curved central touch screen measuring 12.3 inches and 14.9 inches respectively.

M engineers have refined the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine (code S58), producing 530 horsepower (up 50 horsepower from the previous generation), and 650 Nm of torque. The rear-wheel drive system is combined with an 8-speed ZF Steptronic automatic transmission and there is no manual transmission option.

0-100 km/h acceleration in 3.7 seconds, 0.2 seconds faster than before. Electronically limited speed of 303 km/h, 18 km/h higher than the M2 with M Driver's package and 13 km/h higher than the M4.

BMW also reduced the weight of the M2 CS by about 44 kg compared to the regular M2, helping the payload of the M2 CS to be 1,710 kg, lighter than the standard M4 (with equivalent power configuration).

Depending on the market, the power of the slight change, for North America M2 CS will have the above parameters, while in Europe there is a change in technical specifications. According to some information, the new generation BMW M2 CS has a limited quantity of 2,000 cars and a price from 99,755 USD equivalent to 2.56 billion VND.
