In the atmosphere of celebrating the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2025), the Port City recently witnessed a new milestone: a series of tourism, entertainment and culinary products in Cat Ba central bay invested bySun Group Corporation. This is an important turning point, demonstrating the determination to turn the core area of the world natural heritage into a classy tourist destination.
In just one year, the appearance of the central bay has changed dramatically. A modern sea square, spacious beach, restaurant ecosystem, night market, electric transportation… have breathed new life into the pearl island.
In particular, the art- sports performance on the sea here has set two Guinness World Records at the same time, becoming a symbol of the spirit of unique creation and the desire to elevate the destination.
“Green Island Symphony” was recognized as the performance that set two world records at the same time for the first time in Vietnam. The performance was recognized as “Jetski Fireworks Show with the largest formation in the world” and “Most acrobatic flyboarder in one minute”.
The “Green Island Symphony” was built at lightning speed in just 2 months. The project was completed from infrastructure, thousands of seats, operating multi-level performance technology in the middle of the sea, gathering nearly 40 of the world’s top international athletes to perform at the same time. The performance passed 3 rounds of rigorous testing to set 2 Guinness World Records.

This feat not only impressed with its scale and level of organization, but also clearly demonstrated the desire to bring the best of world performing arts to Vietnamese audiences. It was the desire of the organizing team for Vietnamese people to enjoy world-class experiences right in their homeland.
The show is produced by H2O Events and LaserVision - two of the world's leading production units. Inspired by the legend of the crane fairy and the theory of the Five Elements, the show recreates the flow of nature through the language of performance technology: jetski, flyboard, jetsurf, laser, fireworks and music.
On the opening night, “Green Island Symphony” attracted thousands of spectators to the central square and beach to watch.
“I thought I was watching a CGI build because the precision and sheer awesomeness of every movement was unbelievable,” said a visitor from Sydney, Australia.
The show currently runs five nights a week (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday), from 8pm to 8:30pm. It is expected to run until early September.
The listed ticket price starts from 1,000,000 VND/ticket, with discounts when buying combos of 2 or 3 tickets, show combos with dinner. In particular, customers who book tickets via the Sun Paradise Land app will enjoy discounts of up to 45%, with ticket prices only 550,000 VND.
Not only is it a show venue, the entire central bay of Cat Ba has been invested in synchronously to become the new “tourist heart” of the pearl island. In just one year, especially in recent months, green transport infrastructure, central square, night market and coastal restaurant chains have all been completed at lightning speed, providing a seamless travel experience day and night.
A transportation service connecting Phu Long cable car station to the central bay – where the largest entertainment, culinary and event venues in Cat Ba converge – has also been launched. This electric bus and buggy route is part of the green tourism infrastructure development strategy, helping tourists move conveniently, synchronously and reducing pressure on existing traffic.
