The spread of the model "Youth volunteers to build green - clean - beautiful villages"

The model of "Youth volunteers to build green - clean - beautiful villages" has been deployed by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union since 2024 in Lang Ha village, Ho Son commune (Tam Dao). After one year of implementation, the model has shown positive effects and has spread in the community. Many localities in the province have learned to deploy and replicate the model, bringing practical effects, contributing to building livable countrysides.

In October 2024, the Provincial Youth Union launched the model of "Youth volunteers to build green - clean - beautiful villages" in Lang Ha village, Ho Son commune. The model was completed in March 2025, contributing to changing the face of new rural villages.

From a hot spot for environmental pollution, now, in Lang Ha village, there is no more littering. Along the roads in the village, there are rows of shady trees and colorful murals. The previously narrow roads have now been widened to help people travel more conveniently and safely.

People in Lang Ha village have become more aware of handling livestock waste; not encroaching on sidewalks for street vendors; not hanging illegal banners or billboards; not advertising or posting classified ads on lamp posts or electric poles; and signs of cultural residential area rules and regulations are installed safely and neatly in public places.

Up to now, the model has been widely deployed in the Youth Union branches in Ho Son commune, strongly changing the awareness, consciousness, and responsibility of union members and youth and the response and participation of all classes of people in protecting the living environment, contributing to the construction of advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas.

The positive results of the model "Youth volunteers to build green - clean - beautiful villages" in Lang Ha village have created a strong ripple effect for other localities in the province to learn and follow. In April 2025, the Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee held a launching ceremony to deploy the model "Youth volunteers to build green - clean - beautiful villages" in Hoa Binh village, Don Nhan commune (Song Lo).

Within the framework of the program, the Provincial Youth Union organized many accompanying activities such as presenting models for waste classification and composting at source; implementing youth projects such as "Mural Road", "Youth Tree Row"; presenting environmental sanitation equipment to the "Shocking Soldiers Building Green - Clean - Beautiful Villages" Team of Hoa Binh village.

In addition, the Provincial Youth Union also organized the Final Round of the Environmental Recycling Product Creation Contest with the theme "The Second Journey of Waste" in 2025; organized the program "Exchange Waste for Trees" and launched the "Green House" project at Don Nhan Secondary School. Thereby, promoting and mobilizing students to classify and reuse waste, forming a green and environmentally friendly lifestyle.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Huong, Secretary of the Youth Union of Don Nhan Commune, said: “The model of “Youth volunteers to build green, clean and beautiful villages” in Hoa Binh village was implemented from March to September 2025. The youth volunteer team implementing the model was established, coordinating with organizations and people in the village to carry out many meaningful projects and tasks.

Up to now, the Hoa Binh village Youth Union has implemented the youth project "Mural Road" with a total area of ​​over 200m2; planted many flower beds and ornamental plants in the village cultural house area; planted 65 new Bauhinia trees to create shade on inter-village roads; organized a general environmental sanitation campaign in residential areas; propagated and mobilized people to dispose of waste in the right place...

In addition to contributing working days, the Youth Union and villagers have raised 11 million VND to fund the construction of the model. The Executive Committee of the Commune Youth Union directed the Hoa Binh Village Youth Union to continue to effectively maintain and implement projects and tasks to participate in environmental protection, building a green - clean - beautiful village landscape; at the same time, organize the replication of the model in other villages in the commune.

In the coming time, the model of "Youth volunteers to build green - clean - beautiful villages" will continue to be deployed and replicated in 100% of Youth Union units in the whole province. Thereby, promoting the spirit of volunteerism of Youth Union members in environmental protection and climate change response; raising awareness, consciousness and responsibility of Youth Union members and people in participating in environmental protection, making practical contributions to the movement of building advanced and exemplary new rural areas in the locality.
