The arrival of the 100% new Airbus A321NX marks an important step forward in SPA's roadmap to expand its fleet and operational capacity. The new aircraft was brought in by SPA at a time when the Vietnamese aviation and tourism market is entering its most vibrant period of the year. The additional resources help SPA proactively increase capacity and ensure stable service quality during the peak season of Christmas, New Year and especially Lunar New Year 2026.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Quan, General Director of SPA said: “Receiving the fourth aircraft helps us increase our operating capacity at the right time when market demand is increasing sharply. This is an important preparation step for the airline to increase frequency and open new routes in 2026.”

This is also SPA's second Airbus A321NX, belonging to the latest version of the A321 family, the passenger cabin has been completely improved, with a higher cabin ceiling and larger windows, the air circulation system is equipped with a HEPA filter to keep the air in the cabin always fresh, clean, eliminating 99.9% of fine dust and bacteria, creating a spacious, safe, airy and comfortable space for all passengers. In particular, the aircraft uses the new generation LEAP-1A engine, saving 20% of fuel, reducing 50% of CO2 emissions and reducing 75% of noise, providing an exceptionally smooth flight experience.
From November 1, 2025, SPA officially operates the first 3 domestic routes: Phu Quoc - Hanoi, Phu Quoc - Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City. The routes recorded stable and increasing load factors, especially on flights to Phu Quoc, the destination in the most beautiful season of the year with many new experiences in Sunset Town such as Sunset Bazaar commercial area; famous French bakery Eric Kayser; Kiss Square; mini-shows YumYum show and Beer King show, especially the show combining light, fireworks and extreme sports called the new version of Ocean Symphony.

According to the plan, the airline will expand its flight network from the beginning of 2026. From March, the airline will regularly operate the Da Nang - Phu Quoc and Nha Trang - Phu Quoc routes. Also in 2026, the airline plans to operate international routes from Phu Quoc to South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, India, Taiwan (China) and Hong Kong (China).
Phu Quoc becoming a special economic zone and being chosen as the venue for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum APEC 2027 with the participation of 10-12 thousand high-ranking delegates from 21 major economies in the world, opens up a golden opportunity to elevate the image of Phu Quoc on the international map. To prepare for this stage, on November 18, Sun Group officially took over the operation of Phu Quoc International Airport infrastructure, marking an important step to improve service quality, upgrade operating capacity and create a solid infrastructure foundation towards APEC 2027.
In that context, the presence of an airline named after the pearl island, with a modern fleet, a methodical and different development strategy, will contribute to promoting tourism, connecting globally and raising the position of Phu Quoc, Vietnam.
