On the afternoon of September 15, Ha Nam General Hospital, Ninh Binh province, announced that it had received 18 victims (10 French tourists and 8 Vietnamese) in a traffic accident involving 4 vehicles on the Cau Gie-Ninh Binh highway.
Currently, there is 1 severe case asking to go home, 1 case of multiple trauma transferred to Viet Duc Hospital.
Doctor Vu Van Dat, Director of Ha Nam General Hospital, said that the Hospital's Emergency Department had activated the red alert, mobilizing all human resources of the department, and treating the patient with the highest sense of responsibility.
The Hospital Board of Directors immediately arrived, directly directed the triage and reception of patients, and mobilized good doctors to urgently treat patients.
Previously, at around 9:00 a.m. the same day, on the Cau Gie-Ninh Binh highway, a series of traffic accidents occurred, in which a limousine with license plate 29E-127.xx crashed into the back of a tanker truck 51C-367.xx that was moving in lane 1 (from Hanoi to Ninh Binh) to water plants.
Then, the passenger car 29K-043.xx collided with the limousine with license plate 29E-127.xx, lost control, crashed through the highway guardrail, and flew onto the right side of the road. Next, the pickup truck 98C-270.xx collided with the limousine.
The preliminary cause of the accident is believed to be due to the drivers not observing, not ensuring speed and keeping a safe distance from the vehicle in front./.
