Traffic accidents and violations decreased sharply compared to the same period last year.

BPO - The Traffic Police Department of Binh Phuoc Province Police said that from December 15, 2024 to May 9, 2025, the Traffic Police force in the whole province will continuously patrol, control, and handle violations that are the main causes of traffic accidents. Thereby, contributing to continuing to reduce traffic accidents in all 3 aspects compared to the same period last year.

Traffic police forces across the province have increased patrols, control and handling of violations, thereby recording a sharp decrease in the number of violators and traffic accidents compared to the same period last year.

Specifically, the provincial traffic police force organized over 5,161 patrols and controls, thereby recording nearly 29,937 violations, including 8,686 cars, 21,037 motorbikes and 214 other vehicles. The authorities handled over 5,104 cases of alcohol concentration violations. Compared to the same period last year, there were a decrease of 1,992 cases, a decrease of 29%. There were 116 cases of overloading, a decrease of 24%. There were 976 cases of driving in the wrong lane or on the wrong road, a decrease of 46%. In particular, there were 1,255 cases of students violating the law of driving under the age of 18, a decrease of 43%. The authorities revoked 3,494 driving licenses and imposed administrative fines of nearly VND64.977 billion.

With the spirit of drastic handling without restricted areas and without exceptions, the traffic accident situation has been reduced in all three aspects. Specifically, the whole province had 102 cases, causing 71 deaths, 53 injuries, and property damage estimated at 1.3 billion VND. Compared to the same period in 2024, there were 42 fewer cases (29%), 23 fewer deaths (24.5%) and 31 fewer injuries (36.9%).
